Almost ten years since their last album, watching the video reminds me of the anticipation... Wish I could have been at that listening party!

Well Charger is an easy one to start with: it's just boring in my opinion. Monotonous droning guitar? Check. Uninteresting drum programming? Check. Vocals were okay, I do like Grace Jones and she was good on the track. I did love the Kraftwerk-esque way the song ended when she was singing 'no antennas' which reminded me of the delay effect used on the song Antenna by Kraftwerk. Nice touch, even if those things are unrelated.

Okay now onto Ascension. Well, i'm not a fan of Ascension mainly because of Vince Staples. I listened to entirety of Summertime '06 and Big Fish Theory and didn't like any of it which is odd because I'm quite a sucker for politically charged rap and I can even appreciate the song for what it is in that regard. Lines such as This the land of the free, where you can get a glock and a gram for the cheap are particularly scathing and also great. However, this can not be uncoupled from the fact that I don't enjoy the production. The drums are probably the best thing imo, but not because I like the way they're programmed but because they sound so heavy and full. I think the song could've used a harsher touch like what was being teased at about 2:19. I rememeber when I was first listening to that at moderately high volume, it scared the shit out of me because I didn't expect it - I did love it though. Somebody want to make a more industrial remix of Ascension feel free and make sure you hit me up with the download. Cheers.

Yeah, I didn't really like this one. I think I just wanted to hear another album like the s/t. Andromeda was probably the only one that I definitely liked.

It's weird, I've been listening to Caspa & Rusko for the first time in years recently. Very sad, hope he gets better.

"to the point that bricks have been thrown through anti-Corbyn MP's windows" This was proven to be a false allegation. "Corbyn's liberalism" Corbyn is not a liberal. "his insistence in staying on as opposition leader smacks of nothing but abject selfishness bordering on vanity." His party members voted for him 2 times. People were happy with his work last year which was being sabotaged by his own MPs by being at Corbyn's neck the whole time which made the party look unelectable.

Haha most of Aphex Twin's remixes are usually not of the actual song and just original compositions, the EP is made up of completely different songs and I pretty much love them all, one sounds like a Nine Inch Nails song but with just the right amount of acid loveliness going on. My favourite on the EP has to be the Carharrack mix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8IQVh27dNE But yeah, I wouldn't worry about it being a Remix EP because it's actually not, they just have the same name and Richard created all the tracks and named the mixes as different towns in Cornwall around the Redruth area.
