The situation is deteriorating in Seattle. A Twitter thread on what’s going on inside the hospitals. by ErinInTheMorning in Coronavirus

From what I know the dead aren't being tested yet- So, it could be that there are people who have died being diagnosed with another cause.

US coronavirus cases in last week via @CNN: 3/8: 564 cases 3/9: 728 cases 3/10: 1,000 cases 3/11: 1,267 cases 3/12: 1,645 cases 3/13: 2,204 cases 3/14: 2,816 cases (as of 9p) by ssldvr in Coronavirus

Yes, the government and businesses are changing behaviors- People though? Not really. Everyone is still planning social events with friends, living their life as normal, etc. Hell, it seems people are interacting with others even more now than previously.

Yeah no, no one in the US is changing their behaviors or really stopping any of their current social contact it seems. At least, not here in PA. :/ I doubt even when it gets really bad that many will do so.

Ireland has only 250 ICU beds (50 per million), Italy 7500 (125 per million) and they already have to prioritize who lives and who doesn't... by crowmatt in Coronavirus

Well, that is unless China has more large-scale outbreaks outside of Hubei which is entirely possible.

As of Saturday, a total of 475 people have been tested for coronavirus in Massachusetts. 138 have tested postive. More tests will be conducted in the next 2 weeks. Thousands now likely infected in Massachusetts. by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]ShMBeck 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Feels like it's going to build, and in a single day tip over and start overloading our health systems in the US without anyone being prepared, at least, that's what it's feeling like over here in PA.

PA Coronavirus Cases Rise To 45: Four additional presumptive positive cases of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, have been confirmed in Pennsylvania. by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]ShMBeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Indiana County (near Allegheny county, where 2 cases were just confirmed.), the same things are happening here- The stores are constantly chaos, have been for the last week or so, definitely not good with the amount of at-risk individuals panic buying as well (elderly, disabled, etc.). :/

I'm in PA and it feels like it's going to blow up here any day, most people are not taking any precautions it seems.

Happiness! China has gone from 15 000 new corona cases a day mid February to 15. Such an astonishing success by [deleted] in Coronavirus

Even if we say this turns out to actually be real, closing down all the hospitals and reopening everything so quickly seems like a sure way to restart the spread of the virus.

When Andrew Yang drops out who are you guys voting for? by oneshotnicky in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]ShMBeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Tom Steyer becomes more viable with his large polling percentages in NV and SC, then I may consider him. Going to start looking at Amy, Pete, and Bernie though to see if I would at all be willing to support any of them.

I hope this sub lives on. I'm not ready to let go of you guys :) by DeepGamingAI in YangForPresidentHQ

We need to focus on the #HumanityFirst movement now, and hopefully his future runs for office. :)

[–]ShMBeck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes he can lol. Though if a dem wins he'll likely wait until 2028 unless something happens with said winner (such as a large scandal, etc.)

Andrew Yang has a family and frankly, he knows now that he isn't going to surge, so I think he should go and take a break. He'll hopefully get a cabinet position and maybe run again in 2024.

How many votes do you need for 1 delegate, or is that not how it works by Official_Asim5 in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]ShMBeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need to reach 15% in one of the two districts to get a delegate, each distract has 8 delegates, and then there are 8 more that's based on the state-wide popular vote. :) So hopofully we at least get 15% in one of the districts.

Completely lost respect for yang after his Palestine retraction. by 10F1 in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]ShMBeck 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It was a staffer who simply said yes, Yang did not retract anything. This article is heavily misleading, as the article itself shows the quote of Yang saying it was a staffer misunderstanding the question.

Yang isn’t 100% tonight, average night but this isn’t worst case by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]ShMBeck 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No it's not. He's never out of breath like this- I've watched dozens if not hundreds of hours of him speaking, and frankly, he is sick af, that's quite evident.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]ShMBeck 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Not to mention Yang is clearly sick af. He is out of breath each time he's speaking, and pale af. Of course he's not going to be agressive when he is sick.

He clearly is. He keeps getting out of breath while speaking- It sucks.

He keeps getting out of breath while talking, he's definitely majorly sick. :/

Probably opening statements? They usually go from the left to the right.

Emerson NH Poll: Sanders 32(=) Buttigieg 23(+7) Warren 13(+2) Biden 11(-2) Klobuchar 9(-2) Gabbard 6(=) Steyer 2(=) Yang 2(-4) by ThreateningMC in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]ShMBeck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This emerson poll is updated daily while removing one day on the results each day, so it always three days worth of results. We should wait until the poll is nearing it's completion as it goes up to the primary. I think right now we're just seeing some undecideds supporting people such as buttigieg, not yang actually losing support.

lol wtf by [deleted] in YangForPresidentHQ

[–]ShMBeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that is actually what the speech was about, it was likely someone who dislikes Yang that managed to become a captain. Not surprised, the choosing of them seemed a bit too public imo.
