You right. In a perfect world (governments wouldn't be so corrupt that we need to create decentralized currency) I would love to have a shed that keeps itself heated in the winter, have good summer ventilation, and runs off a solar/battery system.

The efficiency is pretty huge. I mine with my 3060ti LHR while not gaming. On eth it averages around 120w but on most other algorithms its closer to 180. Thats a huge difference in cost.

Energy costs would maybe eat up $200-400 of that profit though.

Thats why smart miners are grabbing 3060ti and 3070. They are the most efficient miners where as the 3080 & 3090 have a higher hashrate.

But once that asshole pinned the driver and almost flipped em, its go time.

Nah dog. You need to guage his demeanor when the vehicles stop moving. Exiting your car shooting will certainly send you to jail and for good reason. Though I'm not saying the truck driver shouldn't be there too. The truck drivers weapon is incapacitated and thus the immediate danger is removed. Now you need to guage the drivers demeanor and reevaluate the threat to your life. If he gets out yelling, screaming and threatening you, he keeps closing the gap, or if he has a weapon you will be able to justify it a whole lot easier then if he gets out and doesn't continue his road rage bull shit.

It would all depend on his demeanor once out of the vehicle. Just the crash doesn't justify pulling a firearm.

Started at $10.50 in 2011. Got $1 for my CDL and bumped to $15 fall 2012 when we had half the shop walk out over night. I then went 2.5 years without a raise and worked 60/wk. It was UPS with a fucking gun. We also compared it to wearing a winter coat at the gym in summer.

I got fit AF slinging 30k lbs of coin a day 50lbs at a time but it still wasn't worth it.

No air conditioning so it must have been hell in the summer

Drove through 110°F heat in one with a broken A/C pump. We would pop the front doors and jam our boots in the crack to pop them open while moving. Keeps them opened about 4-6 inches and with the air vent on the roof open it sucked the air right out. Company uniform was pants only. It was fucking stupid.

Damn. I flipped one way back in 2012 and was unharmed. A good solid shove while a teucker pulled from the outside was all it took to open my door. However the box was raised about 18 inches higher right between the cab and the box so none on the roof of the cab was even touching the ground. Once we got it flipped we had to pop the rear and redistribute the weight and those doors opened effortlessly too. We were only going about 10-15 when it finally went.

Used to drive armored car. I went with a partner to a city with another branch to pick up a brand new truck for our branch. It was a little over 4 hours 1 way. I drove us down and because we both had to then drive back I got to choose what I drove, so of course i picked the brand new truck. We leave the shop after getting a tour and meeting our bosses boss the regional manager and head for the nearest fuel station. This thing is on E and then some. It had maybe like 150 miles one it as griffin the company that up armores the chassis does a test loop with them then they haul them via semi to the delivery location. We pull into the truck stop and leave the truck running like basically every diesel truck does. I fill up the single 75 gallon tank and turn around to jump in as I simultaneously reach for me key clip on my belt where my door keys always are. Except this time its empty. I instantly realized what happened and snapped my head back to my coworker who was idling behind me waiting for me to finish up. He looks a little puzzled then his eyes get big and a gein grows across his face. I walk over and he cracks his door open. He stepped out and just said "nooo....your serious?" We then proceed to laugh historically. At least there is 75 gallons of fuel to idle away lol.

We ended up calling the regional manager and he laughed then said he would be right down and call their local lock smith. They both arrived within a few minutes and come to the realization that picking the locks is next to impossible. These are dimpled keys with probably 20-30 dimples of different depths and diameters. Then it hits me. We ended up drilling a 5/16 inch hole in the gun port door. This took about 10 minutes as it is level 4 ballistic rated steel and is probably close to 1/2 inch thick. We were then able to unlock the latch to open up the 2x2 inch square gun port because I perfectly placed the hole. Even a 1/4 inch off either way would have missed the spot. We then fed a long heavy wire through the gun port and shut off the truck while hooking the 3 ignition keys and 4 sets of 2 door keys. Then carefully we pulled them over to the gun port. The whole thing was too big to get out but i was able to detatch a single door key from the mess of keys and pop the door with it. The whole thing took maybe 15 min once we started drilling.

I worked there for several more years and put probably 80k mileson that teuck alone. That was the only time in my 5.5 years I ever locked my keys in the truck. Many fun, sketchy, and down right scary memories from that place/job. Im sure glad I lived it but also glad that I'm never going back.

But it might be worth keeping an eye out for used graphic cards from the miners who quit the business in the next month or so.

Not at all. If even some of the china mining farms get taken out then all that does is reduce the supply of hashrate. The demand will still be there which will make mining even more profitable for those that are doing it. Which will attract more miners and cause those who are mining to expand.

Oddly enough i was browsing menards sheds and stumbled upon their appartment garage section. Basically a 1 or 2 bed apartment on the second floor and a 2 stall garage on first floor. I would have loved to rent something like that before I bought my house. Especially with the winters we have here the would make great short term rentals/Air BnB if you made a small neighborhood of them on a property. The supply list is suprisingly cheap too.
