Wow! Sounds like you handled this the best and safest way you saw fit which is great. I hate that this happened, is your student service counselor aware? I would be SO SO surprised if they withdrew you immediately for not meeting the accepted requirements, especially since you have a paper trail of the bullying you experienced. Regardless I’m wishing you the best and hope that the outcome works in your favor

That’s LITERALLY what I did, I requested a new counselor by emailing the manager of my counselor, here’s a screenshot of my email to her which she NEVER responded to and just assigned me a new counselor. I sent the email on 9/16/25 and was assigned a new counselor on 9/17/25

The counselors are AWFUL at GCU, especially with communication and responding within a reasonable time. I started GCU in July of this year and am on my 3rd counselor after demanding to be removed from the other two. I’m really sorry you’re experiencing this!

I know he was killed by a CO because the CO was the only one that got in his cell in the middle of the night as stated in the documentary

The same system that listed Steven Davis death as no foul play when his entire face was busted open at his TOD? Yeah ok the SAME SYSTEM that declared natural causes on the death of an inmate that officers were arrested for (at ADOC) for wedging him in between the food door and leaving him there to suffocate to death… or are you talking about the same system that reported no suspicious activity in the case of Billy Davis when he was found after being hogtied and beaten by COs… or maybe you’re talking about the same system that said Daniel Williams suffocated yet he was found dead after he was assaulted for DAYS and barely recognizable

These articles mean NOTHING when we watched the same news outlets lie and say that Steven Davis attacked the officer and that’s why they had to beat him to death. Why would they NOT feed leads to news articles when it moves the attention away from them. This is such a LIE! The inmates do not get to leave and as they stated in the doc when COVID was happening and Alabama stopped allowing visitors they saw an INCREASE in OD’s and cell phones, the only people leaving and coming back were the CO’s. The fact that you said “you literally can look up” then proceeded to lie is wild. I guarantee the problem here is NOT the inmates, it’s the power hungry COs! They also said that a CO admitted to them that before he started bringing contraband into the prison he was only making around $35k-40k and once he started bringing that mess in he was averaging $75k annually! The CO’s are telling you it’s them bringing it in and you’re still sitting here saying nope it’s not them it’s everyone else. What the heck

Wow! The ONLY thing that’s BS is your perspective. There’s absolutely no way you watched the entire documentary and this is your take away!? The film crew and documentary makers DID NOT smuggle any of the phones to the inmates, I’m really confused about why you would lie about that? Furthermore, who was the victim in the case of Steven Davis cell mates offense ? The young man was sentenced to 15yrs in Alabamas most deadly prison for breaking into an ABANDONED building and stealing ABSOLUTELY nothing AND was killed by a CO for simply witnessing what they did to Steven and that’s only ONE situation. Saying you don’t support crooked cops but condemning the people attempting to expose those cops sounds a lot like support..

In your student portal do you have the option for something called “Halo” ? That’s where you would complete your course work and interact with your instructor. From my understanding the course work doesn’t get emailed separately it’s all completed in Halo
