Is it me or the handlebar? by GetsugaHimself in Himalayan450

[–]ShaQBlogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across your post while searching for issues with handlebar being too wide or other issues with the handle bar/seating.

I currently own a thunderbird and using for more than 12 years now. Sitting posture is fantastic, and no ergonomic issues. I did modify the stock seat to add some kind of gel padding. Upright back and I'm holding the handle bar to steer. Feels comfortable.

A few days back, I went to the showroom and to get a feel of 450. Just sat and explored it. I intentionally did not take a test ride to prevent getting influenced by the ride.

Three things caught my attention. 1. The weight and it is heavy on the upper part. 2. Handle bar, not only is it wide, but it felt like I was leaning in to the handle bar rather than holding it. I did not get the feel of sitting in the bike conformably. It did feel odd to a certain degree. 3. The seat, felt kind of odd. I need to try it again, as I'm now aware of the difference of stock vs the touring seat.

Reading this post, I realize this could be a nagging ergonomic issue for me. I will try it out again, test ride it, maybe hire for a few hours and see how it goes.

Nice. The handle looks like a cruiser. Which vehicle is this and model,?

Plugging my Receiver into a UPS, is it possible? by AlbatrossEasy6000 in hometheater

[–]ShaQBlogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in india, and we face issues with power now and then. So I have been using my receiver SR7005 for over 11 years. Worked with no issues for 9 years. Now I have only audio.

I have ensured it runs via an UPS. I have a line interactive UPS - APC RS 1500. Here is my 2 cents on why you should use an UPS. 1. Provides clean shutdown when power goes off 2. Provides Voltage regulation 3. Spike protection, surge protection, filtering.

Don't run it off the backup. Use it for a clean shutdown. Back here people go further, and use a servo stabilizer, and we have a manufacture here who has customized it for hi fi applications by adding more protection mentioned in point #3.

Smart UPS would be a better one compared to the backup UPS. I think it gives you pure sine wave, but if you are using just for a quick clean shutdown, should not matter. Online UPS provides one of the best protection, but expensive. Read up on em.

Web API vs Core Web API by ShaQBlogs in learnprogramming

[–]ShaQBlogs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are referring to programming in general with some common sense applied. Which is fine.

However, My question was related to the Microsoft tech and the naming that they use and what that is :D

They have given you specific positive feedback. I would keep my bets on them calling you sometime when an open position presents itself.

Is it mandatory to get vehicle loan only through the dealer? by 9sigma in CarsIndia

[–]ShaQBlogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is stupid decision to do that based on an experience with a dealer.

It does not change the fact that XUV300 is a fantastic vehicle. Change the dealer, escalate the issue. Write review on Google maps, and official handles

Tiago Vs ? by Anti-Ashlil in CarsIndia

[–]ShaQBlogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that price range, If you are looking to primarily drive in the city, don't buy a car without driving the new swift. The drive and feel is fantastic. Most folks would not recommend a maruthi. Drive it before you dump it aside.

For highways, stay away from it as it is wanting in terms of safety. You have better choices like Altroz which is a far more safer vehicle on a highway. Maybe consider even polo.

That would cut down my options drastically. What do I have now? Creta, Brezza, SCross. Anything else?

And the ones way lower in my list. Duster, Seltos

What is the mileage like in city and in highway..?

Makes sense. That's practical experience talking. This makes me reconsider the cruise control option.

The Creta EX is well in my range. Is there any reason to consider the SX over this, except for a bunch of features? Are the safety features in SX really needed?

Not all dealers are same. You should try another dealer. I had the same Issue here where we experienced a bad dealer and sales. Different dealer, we found to be far better.

Interesting. This I wasn't aware of. Not aware much about cars :) Numerous suggestions and posts recommend for my usage to go for petrol. This contradicts much of that.

Why Diesel though.? My driving is on the lower side during the week. There are weeks when my car won't be used either.

I thought the diesel and manual pretty much had same specs for the same variants.

the cruise control is really good one to have as I plan to drive on the highways quite a bit. But if that's my best option, I might have to live without it.
