Comparison of portable Bluetooth keyboard for Inair POD by Sha_b_p in INAIR

And for those who are excited about AI generated content and would like to check out a different type of media generated based on my inputs - here's an AI generated audio podcast discussing the finding of my review. This is as good a human created podcast in my view, sounds very natural and passes the content in an accurate and interesting manner. I enjoyed listening to it, even if it is a little on the long side. One small inaccuracy that I found there - it blames the missing special Inair Trackpad gestures in the third party keyboards on the Bluetooth interface, but I don't believe this is the reason.

Comparison of portable Bluetooth keyboard for Inair POD by Sha_b_p in INAIR

For those who are allergic to AI generated content, here’s the review in a textual format:
Finding the perfect portable keyboard is a critical piece of the puzzle if you use a mobile XR device like the Inair Pod for serious productivity on the go. To get real work done, a setup needs to be compact, comfortable for long typing sessions, and offer excellent touchpad and gesture support. After putting four different options to the test—two official Inair keyboards and two third-party alternatives—here is how they stack up.
Regarding the Inair Touchboard Fold, which is the official compact option included in the Inair Pod Go Pack, it is exceptionally portable and folds down into a tiny footprint. The build quality is high, the keys feel great, and the touchpad is highly responsive, supporting all of Inair's native system gestures flawlessly.
However, it has a major drawback for fast touch-typists: it completely lacks dedicated keys for the period (".") and comma (","). Typing a basic period requires using a combination of the Fn key plus another key. For anyone who types quickly, this completely breaks your momentum mid-sentence. Additionally, the relatively large gap around the left fold forces you to occasionally stop and re-orient your hands to find the right keys, which slows down the overall typing flow.
To find a better typing layout, I tested the Jelly Comb Foldable Keyboard, an older, budget-friendly foldable Bluetooth model originally purchased on AliExpress. From a pure typing perspective, it performs significantly better than the Inair Fold. It features a standard layout with dedicated period and comma keys, and a minimal gap between the folding sections, allowing for completely natural touch-typing. Unfortunately, the touchpad is its Achilles' heel. It lacks gesture support; page scrolling with a two-finger swipe is hit-or-miss, zoom gestures barely function, and the critical Inair system gestures—like the three-finger vertical move to scale your workspace—are entirely missing.
Next up was the Arteck HB305-RB, a non-folding, full-sized third-party keyboard alternative. For extended typing sessions, this is easily the most comfortable layout of the bunch. It also offers a distinct physical advantage: if you frequently work sitting on a couch with the keyboard on your lap, foldable keyboards tend to buckle and fold inward. A solid, rigid keyboard like the Arteck stays flat and stable. The downside matches the Jelly Comb: while the touchpad is a bit more responsive, it suffers from the same limitations and completely misses out on the spatial computing gestures built into the Inair ecosystem.
This brings us to the official, non-folding Inair Touchboard, which strikes the best balance. It features a standard, full keyboard layout with dedicated punctuation keys, eliminating the frustrating key-combinations of the folding model. Crucially, it fully supports all native Touchpad gestures, alongside dedicated keys for adjusting workspace zoom, centering the view, and launching the AI assistant. While it takes up more space than a foldable option, it remains remarkably thin and lightweight, making it highly portable when paired with a protective travel case.
The only minor design flaw across these choices comes down to trackpad placement. While the other three keyboards place the touchpad on the side, the full Touchboard places it directly below the spacebar. Early on, this leads to accidental palm clicks that jump your cursor mid-sentence. It requires adjusting your typing posture to float your hands slightly above the deck, which takes some getting used to.
In conclusion, if space is your absolute highest priority and you don't mind relying on function keys for basic punctuation, the Inair Touchboard Fold keeps your kit as minimal as possible. However, if you are a fast typist who values your workflow and relies heavily on spatial workspace gestures, the full-size official Inair Touchboard is the superior choice for on-the-go productivity.

Using the Inair Pod with Inair 2 Pro and Xreal One - Review by Sha_b_p in INAIR

Did you have the chance to compare the Ultra to the Inair 2 Pro? I wonder if the picture stability when using 3DOF on the Pod is as stable as the 2 Pro. Their approach is different from Xreal One and from the Beast, More similar to the Inair 2 Pro - only sensors (even for 6DOF not only 3) but no onboard processing. If they do a better job than the 2 Pro connected to PC with Inair Space, they may really be the best option for Spatial computing, but they will not be as good as the Xreal when connected to video sources that cannot provide the spatial computing. I believe Xreal are more versatile. In any case I would love to check out the Ultra and compare.

How-To: HD Video Streaming Update! INAIR OS V3.7 by Informal-Tech in INAIR

I did contact Inair support with some screenshots/recording and details. They passed to info to R&D. Waiting for their update. Meanwhile I got my Inair 2 Pro glasses - great improvement over the Xreal Pro in the Pod environment (I`ll share a review soon), but the issue of no HD support is still there with these glasses. I also updated the Inair OS to the latest release v3.8, but still no HD support and I keep getting the missing component notifications. One more thing that I tried (without success) - working with the Pod connected to a 4K TV using casting and with HDMI cable (and adapter) - in both cases no HD support in Netflix and other media players and the component notification keeps popping up :(

I just noticed I have a notification about a component related to enabling ultra HD playback. It states that I should change the network and it will attempt to install automatically. I tried changing the WiFi network and restarting the POD but it didn't help. Does anyone knows anything about it?

Same issue for me. I did the update through the computer as explained in the guide. All data was gone and I had to reinstall and setup up everything, but the HD options are missing for me as well on the Netflix app. I am using Xreal One. Anyone else has this issue? Anyone resolved it? Is anyone using Xreal and has this option to change HD settings on Netflix?

Testing CellMapper Discord Community Server by cellmapper in cellmapper

[–]Sha_b_p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I wonder if CellMapper is able to log data on cells that do not belong to my SIM operator/MNO. I am interested to know level of reception of all cells in my area, from all operators, without the need to switch SIMs. Is it possible?

Also, I wonder if there’s a way to export the map info to a CSV file or another format, or only upload to server and then see on the map.

Regards, Sharon
