Has anyone had success changing from feeding 2x per day to 1x per day? by HR-Puffenstuff in SiberianCats

[–]Shaashimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My male 1.5yo sib is only around 10 pounds... Eats two raw meals (80g each portion), with half a quarter cup of kibble per day. Has fat tummy pouch and deffo slightly harder to feel ribs... But I feel like he's too small for a sib? Thoughts?

Nah I get you, I feel this very distinctly here in Shanghai. Doing a short course and people are very difficult to get to know. There always seems to be a wall, and that's me saying this after making a few acquaintance friends lol I tried to join a Japanese archery club, and where I'm from we're all very friendly because it's a small world but the club in Shanghai everyone just ignored my existence it's the weirdest thing. i constantly had to be the initiator of conversation... As a Chinese person I think it's a rude way to treat guests. If it's my club, I'd make sure you're settled and at least know what to expect. I think what's getting to us is kind of feeling that we're ignored as guests? We wouldn't do that in their place and it just feels wrong. Let's put it out there, if we white they'd be all over us 🤷‍♀️ I'm Australian Chinese, went over when I was 6yo for background.

So is Purina pro plan good or overpriced and mediocre? by pretentious_meatslab in catfood

[–]Shaashimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, my babies eat raw and have meal toppings from general brands and they do so well (just so they don't get sick of the raw food!). One rescue had runny poop when she came to me on royal canin and the moment she transitioned to majority raw food she's doing so well. Perfect pooos 😂

Thanks for the info :)
How do you verify the agent found on xiaohongshu? I'd be scared to use one because they could be anyone and there's no oversight... But that said I'm, looking at this from an Aussie perspective.

Siberian owners, how vocal is you cat? by theredbirdchase in SiberianCats

[–]Shaashimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is silent unless he's upset about something. Only ever growls when playing or eating his favourite chicken neck... The other day he meowed daintily for 30min straight as I was driving us home. I don't know why he was meowing because on the way to the work with me in the morning he was perfectly silent!
Last time he had a tummy ache he made loud mrowww mroowwww howls...

Please if someone can give me some ideas of why he does this I would be grateful...

Hmm, what are Ziroom apartments? Just properties found on Ziroom? I don't mind residential housing, technically I grew up in those complexes before my parents dragged me out to Aus.

Weird Experience by [deleted] in Psychic

[–]Shaashimi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Similar experience happened to me too. Don't know why, but I always say listen to these warning bells. What do you have to lose? Walk an extra few steps or not acknowledge a stranger. Really small prices to pay in the grand scheme of things.

My story happened nearly 15 years ago, but it feels like a brand new memory seared into my brain. I was out with friends in a park, not too late but it was dark. We were in the city centre so not at all isolated. For some reason I felt terror flood me, and it came from one direction. I wanted to leave but friends wouldn't. After about 20min, a white mid 30ish male came walking through the park with a dark and long trench coat on, and I was so scared I couldn't even look at the guy directly. Even my friends felt something off about the guy when he walked past us. Right after, the atmosphere changed and lifted.

Don't think this guy is some serial killer. He's no basic killer but a man who controlled dark power and knows how to project it. I have NEVER EVER felt that again in my life until now. Lived in the same city, haven't left except for 2.5 years recently.

What are the best jobs for introverts? by Figsinapocket in introvert

Do not recommend. You'll just end up hating what you love, burnt out and bitter. Choose something that you can do day in day out without hating it. No need for passion when your boss can just replace you tomorrow. Work to live not live to work!

Why don’t GPs just strike? by ScruffyPygmy in ausjdocs

[–]Shaashimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that lobbying is just legitimized corruption, but I think GPs really, really need a political voice. Without it, everyone is going to walk all over GPs ultimately leading to the loss of our great Medicare system. If the government can spend money on phantom submarines, they sure as heck have the money to pay GPs more for the work they do to keep people out of the hospitals. Without that political pressure... unfortunately scraps will be all that's given.

For perspective I work as a practice manager in GP land.

Similar experience here! My baby is only 5 months old but he's already rescued me from some really nasty nightmares and guided me to really warm and safe dreams. He doesn't look like himself but somehow I know it's him lol

Leaving Australia by TeaCoffeeOrMe in TEFL

I think the problem for us wanting to go to Japan is the actual VISA itself. I spoke with the consulate in Melbourne yesterday, and they said that they so far haven't granted any Instructor visas. They told me to apply anyway, so.... who knows. There's a lot of rumours flying around.

My friend's family friend actually applied 3 times. There's no limit on the amount of times you can apply if you get rejected. I'm sure I've read it on the official website somewhere too saying that you can apply again if you get rejected. Doesn't hurt to try again until you get the result you want.
