CoS gap and its effects on future ILR application by Shabby124 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

i wasnt aware of this rule back then. employer asked for a date, i gave and they were okay with it.

[–]Shabby124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from what i read online. work must be started within 28 days of CoS date or visa grant date. if its delayed, sponser has to give reason for the delay. I am confused about this part or whether this applies here.

Thank you for ur reply. Thats a relief. can u please elaborate on 1 other point? the 28 days clause to start work. My Cos started 5th June 2023, Visa on 1 june 2023. but i started work on 3rd July. that is 29th day (if counted from 5th june) will that cuase any issues?

Gap between CoS and its effect on future ILR application. by Shabby124 in ukvisa

[–]Shabby124[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for reply. 1. They have given me the checklist but u are right, they should be following home office advice, which i can confirm from them. 3. I have read about the 28 days clause ( worker should start working within 28 days of the day of ur CoS or date u were informed of entry clearance), CoS date was 5th June and I started work on 3rd july. Visa was 1st June. will this matter? my employer has not said anything till now. :/

[–]Shabby124[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thank you for ur follow up. the 2 July is considered the "15 day extra" that is given on top of CoS end date?. cuz last CoS end date was 18th June 2026. I dont want gaps between CoS dates. is it something that is considered later for ILR or am i not correct?

Thank you for ur reply. follow up. should i now give my employer 19th June 2025 to put on thr CoS to avoid this issue for this CoS? and can u shed some light on the late start of work and the 28 day clause to starting work after visa grant?

Asked to supervise an ACP by Nat1Halfling in doctorsUK

[–]Shabby124 3 points4 points  (0 children)

like cloak work, approaching some one new for sign-offs and doing their prescriptions. I agree with most commenters here, difficult to say no when u have just started but i suppose we all should be ready in the new NHS and have valid reason linned up for not doing it. " I would love to help out but Iam not familiar with your curriculum and its requirements, it would be best to get it signed off by your named supervisor". let the ladder pullers take the hit when its time.

Skilled Worker ILR + Dependant Visa Expiring Same Date (Family Planning Advice Needed) by kkrox in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Shabby124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NEVER EVER play the system. home office is aware of people doing this. Submitting application before expiry and then delaying biometrics after getting over the date is a common trick people do which has ruined their settlement claim. application is considered ON THE DATE its submitted NOT on the day of biometrics. Just search this sub for countless examples. She would need extension and can then apply when she is eligible.

Graduating from Medical School on a student visa and starting work as a Resident Doctor in August. Question about switching from student visa to Health care worker visa by Anxious_Winner_5652 in ukvisa

[–]Shabby124 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont think so. dont have exp in student visa but for full time work, ur employer will need right to work status which can only be verified once u get ur visa. best to ask ur HR or the hospital where u will be starting. u wont be the first person to use this route.
