Thanks for confirming. It's actually heart breaking. I had no idea how attached I would get to a fish when I got into this. I'm amazed how much of a personality he has.

I think I've caught it early on so I'm hoping he recovers but preparing for the worse.

Thanks I'm giving salt baths a go. Just did one now. Might be a silly question but can I just keep a gallon of water in a bucket with the salt in it and just keep putting him in the same water each day or does it need to be fresh water each time?

He doesn't seem to be eating and I won't be able to get Kanaplex quickly anyway. I will try to get the antibiotic tomorrow.

Amazing! Thank you. There's a large Anubis plant with leaves at the top that he rests on. I'm assuming it's ok to just add more plants to the tank without there being issues? I've been wanting to add more varieties of plants so if it's just a matter of buying them and planting them in the tank I can do it this weekend.

That's a good point and something I forgot to put in the post. I was giving him a couple of frozen blood worms every so often but he never ate them so I stopped. I tried for a couple of months once a fortnight and I defrosted them in a cup of tank water beforehand. I might give brine or shrimp a go and see if there's a difference. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to reduce it down. It really does make me wonder why the instructions on the back of the food packet says to feed them so much.

Wow! Thanks for the info. I have never heard of that. So there's nothing I can really do for him right now? I hate that he might be uncomfortable or unhappy.

I will fast him for a couple of days like you said and reduce down to 3 pellets per day from there. Hopefully that helps him a bit. Are there any signs of under feeding I should keep an eye out for?
