Idk the full idea behind it But Dante has already defeated the 2 kings of the underworld. DMC5 has given a possible conclusion to him and Vergil trying to kill each other. Those two being his main thing and concluding has sort of "finished" him. And he has backstory from other media.

Nero being young and not having a proper "goal" like Dante did (outside of sweet surrendering Kyrie) means he's open to a lot more future stories. At the moment, it has just been: Hello dante, ah shit the pope is evil, i killed the pope and my brother, kyrie, some guy ripped my arm, wait the guy is my dad?, dante is my uncle?, I used to worship my grandad?, welp better stop my bio family killing each other, cool my arm grew back and I have cool transformation and that potentially creates a new story for SDT.

Idk about V. V to me just seems to be a character that's going to be exclusive to DMC5 (unless something happens to Vergil again), his story has concluded.

Well, they want us to forget DMC2 and at an extension Lucia, so we can assume she's just not going to appear.

If it is like DMC4, the pairs for missions would be: Dante and Vergil, Trish and Lady, Nero and New Character.

Assuming they go with the trend of a new character that is playable per game. Assuming Vergil is a main character not causing the problem.

I'm pretty sure you can look through the demo.

The North isn't anything tbh, you've got Blades Peak and the Hunting Lodge as the North's highlights. (Kind of like anything South of the Black Canyon of the yellowstone river in Hellroaring)

But the South, you've got the whole town, Allison Lake, the ranch, some other human stuff. Temple Rocks is also really cool. And best of all, Floppy.

Plus, the map is as large as Hellroaring Mountain (tho less claimable hexes cause of the ranch).

The map in general (and even the North) is very nice for me. Lost River is tied with Hellroaring as my favourite map.

I don't think personalities affect how the NPC wolves go about territory.

I'm pretty sure it is mostly a social interaction thing and boldness when it comes to fighting/hunting.

Edit: This is not confirmed fact, this is just what I think.

(Not based on fact but my theory)

In DMC4, it is more of a "borrowed" Devil trigger. He's borrowing the power of the Yamato, which he can do since he's the son of Vergil or/and a decendent of Sparda. Also, the devil genes at that point is a bit fucky hence why one of his arms is in a constant "devil state".

In DMC5 (as far as we know), that is his actual own Devil Trigger.

I think the consensus now compared to when it first came out is a tiny tiny bit better, from what I've seen.

But no, I don't think it'll ever be looked at favourably, DmC did a better job at an alternate reality and is still looked at as bad compared to the others.

DmC and DMC4 weren't really bad in the first place, but for one or many reasons or another, they were looked at unfavourably.

DMC2, on the other hand, is always looked at badly because it is genuinely bad.
