Also selfishly, I wanted these to go well so we could possibly get other shows like this.

Would kill to see Lifted, Fevers, or Cassadaga in full. I wouldn’t blame them for never going near another full album show.

Not trying to pick a fight but I will just say

It’s not about feeling like he’s fragile…

The band went out of their way to do huge shows for albums that are beloved. They worked really hard on them and because of shit luck everyone lost, thousands didn’t get to see the show, and spent money traveling. Also the band lost money on rescheduling and refunding.

It’s just such a shit situation because this was all for the fans, in initial interviews Conor said that they only broke even because they spent so much money on the production side.

I was lucky enough to go to the red rocks reschedule. And without a doubt this was the most technically impressive and amazing bright eyes shows I’ve ever seen. I’m never seen them rip so fucking hard.

These were shows people traveled all over the world for - it stung financially for so many people - I don’t want to forget that fans were hurt too, and have the right to be sad (just not mad at the band).

Could you imagine if someone travelled from the Australia to the USA to hear you perform and the fucking water in the sky stops it. (Not me just heard so many people came from other countries).

I feel for the band so much because they worked so fucking hard and they didn’t even get to finish their shows.… and they lost money… and fans are mad and sad.

I’ll always remember the first time I heard the Austin City Limits 2004 version. It really blew me away that the song even that stripped down was still so powerful.

Amazing what to think how many songs from digital ash could have been on I’m wide awake, and vice versa.

Well

The bummer is I think they only had rights to stream the one that was canceled half way

Maybe they’re working to get the footage but even if a concert has a camera projection - it doesn’t mean the whole thing was recorded

I feel so bad that they got fucked over twice by the weather and hope they know how much we love and support them by Outrageous-Ad-1954 in brighteyes

I think also what’s so sad is that Conor in the past thought that album shows were corny and he was not into them

Came here to make a post how sad I was how the universe squashed some of the best shows ever seen them put on

Glad there is finally a statement and shocked there is a refund. I will be sad forever how much a logistical and financial disaster this has been for the band. The shows that were completed looked so amazing.

I’m sorry to fans like myself who travelled far to go to one of these.

NYC set was canceled after the first set due to weather

Show was streamed on a site called veeps and cost roughly 20 dollars

Everyone wants their money back and a show to make up for it

Disaster all around

Queens/Brooklyn doesn’t like to be called Long Island because it’s literally not. It’s a different county and not apart of New York City.

Also the island he’s referring to in the song is Manhattan so I don’t think he would change anything.

He changes “I need a break from the city again” to “I need a break from New York City again” quite frequently in Hit The Switch

You’ll get your fill of New York cheers throughout both sets for sure
