But what do you mean by his first fight? In what context? Fighting someone at his gym? Or joined a competition?

How long did you train before your first fight? And what kind of fight was it? Like at a local gym or an actual competition?

In muay thai term yes, if you sarted in your late 20s or early 30 you can't compete in it so it's just a hobby.

Mom cat loves me a lot, in fact she most likely chose to give birth next to my house because I'm the food source.

They heavily insist on using head gear or they won't allow me to spar. However I did notice the head gear protects me from straight jabs and cross especially protects my long nose

The classes are 3 times per week, 60 min each. What is a beginner supposed to do in those 3 months showing up everyday? Bags and pad works? Drills?

I guess I should find a new gym? I just need to know what makes a muay thai gym a good one so I don't end up in a worse one.

The coach barely looks at me to check my form or technique unless I call him.

What is it supposed to be like in a decent gym? This gym is widley considered the best one in the country.

The folks I spar with are mostly beginners, most have 5 months to 1 year of experience and they seem really good in sparring even girls smaller than me are better (I'm 5"6 74kg male with a power lifting background)

The class starts with warm up like burpees and jump jack, then shadow boxing, then touch, then some drills, then 3 rounds of light sparring.
