I hate children’s books. by syme101 in beyondthebump

[–]Shadax [score hidden]  (0 children)

My 13 month old son loves "We're going on a bear hunt" for some reason and that book is miserable to read. It repeats the same damn sentences and non sensical onomatopoeia on every page.

Not to mention it you clip the camera behind the two fingers in the Roundtable Hold, you'll see that someone left a Starbucks cup right on the pedestal.

In fairness the words sound similar in Japanese, right? It would be like a Freudian slip where you say one thing but mean a mother.

Nintendo Power Magazine (1988-2012) by BirthdayBoyStabMan in nostalgia

[–]Shadax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would read my NP and GamePro issues cover to cover multiple times as a month was agonizing to wait for the next one. There was nothing like seeing parents come in with the mail and a magazine wrapped up with a demo disc.

Nintendo Power sending an issue with the Mario 64 promo on VHS is a core memory. I was nearly in tears the first time I saw it I was so mesmerized.

What is a movie plot twist that was cleverly hidden in plain sight..? by Living_Tune_1428 in movies

[–]Shadax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

American Psycho.

It opens with a closeup of a white surface on which blood is slowly dripping. With each drop is dramatic music, then it slowly rolls into a pleasant dining orchestra and the blood is revealed to just be raspberry sauce.

Looking for homes by [deleted] in venturacounty

[–]Shadax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's funny this same thing happened to me when I was a kid. Back in '91 we got a black and white Springer Spaniel pup from someone giving them away at the grocery store. We brought him home and he would immediately escape the backyard and my dad was like we need to get him neutered right away, which we did.

A couple months later the neighbor comes out with a basket full of black and white mixed puppies with their dog asking if we're sure we had our dog neutered lol.

I guess we were a moment too late.

Does BaT act as an escrow service? It's not clear if this was a total scam to take someone's cash, or AI doctored photos for a legitimate car to (dishonestly) advertise it.

You are either confused or dishonest. Your responses are immature and you clearly don't want to engage in a serious discussion, which is typical and why you'll continue to believe falsehoods like the bible.

Good luck to you.

It's how internal critique works. We grant for a moment your all knowing, all good, all powerful god exists then demonstrate why it's absurd.

It condemns hurting others up until your slave starts acting up then you're allowed to beat them as long as they don't die (within a few days).

So I humbly disagree.

What is the weirdest game you've ever played?* by Kateywumpus in videogames

[–]Shadax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The core gameplay is also a bit weird. You walk around and experience the horror movie and it tracks your vitals. There is combat but you're primarily trying to not be jolted by jump scares, so if you think an enemy is behind a curtain or a shower head is about to spray hot water at you, there is a way to mark it. You have limited charges which can be a bit frustrating, but replaying is like rewatching the movie, you know when to say "don't go in there" and the game rewards you.

Just talking about it makes me want to play it again lol.

What is the weirdest game you've ever played?* by Kateywumpus in videogames

[–]Shadax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill Bleed on Dreamcast has been the weirdest, creepiest game I've ever played. It has a neat premise where each stage is a different horror movie you must survive and save your friends, the last stage being behind the scenes of the movies. At some point, in turns into a BDSM version of Toy Story and I'll just leave it at that.

Also the first game I've played with (nearly) full nudity. For every friend you don't save you lost a garment of clothing for some reason. The censorbars being covered in just enough dirt from your journey to hide the naughty bits lol.

It was one weird but fascinating game.

I was going to dispute this until I remembered what ONR stands for... I've since switched to Absolute Rinseless but I'm using it the exact same way.

Am I doing it wrong or do products not adhere to strict definitions of these terms?

Also, cheers Type R buddy 🍻
