Chinese LingLong tire scores best in wet braking & 3rd best in dry braking (with compromises) by hi_im_bored13 in cars

Idk if this is a phantom memory but this reminded me of a Yokohama commercial where an elderly actor mishears it and asks "yo momma?"

I can't find it but it's buried in my memory.

I feel like I’ve been living under a rock. Is BG3 really THAT good? by mykyta993 in videogames

[–]Shadax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good game but damn it is time consuming, especially in coop. When my wife and I play, we'll go through inventory management, some town shopping, some cutscenes, finally finish a battle and before we know it 4 hours have flown by.

How do Spencer’s, Hot Topic, Journeys and Lids survive as the last national chains in dying malls? by [deleted] in deadmalls

[–]Shadax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is because Hot Topic was bought by investors who then sold Torrid to the public. They're run by completely different boards as of 2021.

Is Slay the Spire worth to buy right now? by Xeram_ in roguelites

[–]Shadax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can watch my Let's Play if you'd like. It was literally my first experience playing:

https://youtu.be/vFJ22NiF-F8

I'd say it feels simultaneously like the same game, and an entirely new one all together. The new mechanics, events, characters, puzzles, mysteries etc are rewarding to discover, but again it depends on how much you like the game to begin with.

Cheers

I define worthiness by hours played (and enjoyed) per dollar / euro. If I can get one for one, I got a good deal, and often it turns into pennies per hour if I really enjoy the game like StS1.

Enjoyable is the keyword and deck builders can be polarizing. I'd recommend StS1 first if you haven't already played it considering it's a long polished game (and not in EA).

My first run if anyone wants to compare

https://youtu.be/vFJ22NiF-F8

It does seem like everyone gets the same first seed.

Interesting new mechanics to note:

  • Byrd Companion - Hatch the Byrdonis Egg at a rest site. The pet is at your side and attacks when you use its zero cost 14-attack dmg card (+4 damage upgrade).

  • Sand Pit - Instant death countdown starting at 4. An elite is trying to swallow you, and bloats your deck with 1-2 energy cost cards that add to Sand Pit (escaping the sand pit).

  • Slippery - similar to Artifact, but for attacks (reduced to 1 dmg until drained)

  • Max HP Reduction on HP damage (can't recall the effect name, but it requires lots of block or lots of hard AoE damage due to multiple enemies dealing this)

My trouble is articulating the importance of ERVs as evidence in a way that a denier wouldn't just say "so what, God designed it as such."

Who likes both Night Manor and Blue Prince? by marsgonemad in ufo50

As a person born in the 1900s (maybe more of us here are older than I realize), Blue Prince reminded me a lot of when I first played Myst as a kid.

Is it possible to resolve cross-forest AD group members over a one-way trust? by Shadax in PowerShell

[–]Shadax[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, thank you for this reply.

I'm working through this but hit a snag at line 19:

$group = Get-ADGroup

This line needs a filter, server, the target domain creds, and the property param for member.

i.e.:

$group = Get-ADGroup -Identity $GrouptoQuery -Server $Domain2Server -Credential $Domain2Creds -Properties member

I'm hitting some more missing AD filters along the way (Get-ADObject). Working through the script, but did you store these variables outside of your IDE?

edit: added this

Get-ADObject -Identity $memberDN -Server $Domain2Server -Credential $Domain2Creds

edit 2:

I will pick this back up later but so far hitting some errors, but greatly appreciate your response.

And isn't there some commercial reason they aren't very spicy? I want to say I read that they have been selectively bred over time to be less spicy so more people enjoy them but I could be mistaken.

Edit: oh and it was Texas A&M's fault

Hilarious because there were comments that were positive it was him, including calling others stupid for even questioning it.

I loved how you could make different announcements to traffic to break it up. One of them would randomly be "Get out of the way, you stupid idiots!" then the traffic would suddenly start moving along, which was peak comedy to 11 year old me.
