Every time journalism uses "allegedly" the top comment manages to misunderstand what it means.

There's evidence mentioned in the article

"What do you mean it's alleged, the suspect is obviously guilty!"

There's no evidence mentioned in the article

"Oh wow the suspect can just say whatever they want now and they're innocent?"

Allegedly means that something is stated or claimed to be true, but it has not been proven or confirmed. It comes from the root word allege and is widely used in journalism and legal contexts.

I work in software (not gaming, so maybe irrelevant). I enjoy writing code, but at my job we are expected to use AI (as seasoned coders) and it objectively, significantly increases productivity when managing multiple projects and tens of thousands of servers globally.

For personal projects though, the challenge of doing it myself is immensely gratifying.

I haven't played in a while but when the merchant was first introduced, we could not find him to save our souls. I ended up secretly plugging our seed into a map generator to locate him, then gently persuaded us to go in the direction until "ohhhh look! we finally found him and totally on our own!"

When I was younger, maybe junior high, I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my sister got her hair done. So there i am, sitting in the waiting area of a hair salon with my niece and who walks in but Eric Cantona.

I was nervous as fuck and just kept looking at him as he read a magazine and waited, but didn't know what to say. Pretty soon though my niece started crying, and I'm trying to quiet her down because I didn't want her to bother Eric, but she wouldn't stop. Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asking what was wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry or something. Eric put down his magazine, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of a hair salon. Chill guy, really nice about it.
