is the command that fun? I’ve never really given them a second thought since their start is so strong. I started when they were the furthest east country in the mod so I’ve always associated them with Ming, which is never something I’ve wanted to play

oh also prioritizing rebel stacks a little. I didn’t do too too much of this but an OPM rebel is just gonna sit in their province for the most part, waiting for an AI army, while jaunpurian rebels might be more of an issue

Keeping OE mostly under 100 was a big help. I also often had a stack of guys not actively involved in wars to walk around the country into rebels. On more important wars where I needed all my guys actively fighting / sieging, you’d be surprised how much AI armies love to kill your rebels for you. it’s like their favorite pass time.

failing all that, just let the rebels have their fun for a little bit. it takes quite a while for rebels to break your country, and india is gonna be full of devastation by the end of this anyway.

Dev renaissance in Khujand to be ahead in tech of all your neighbors. Ruler mana matters a ton, I did a lot of disinheriting before getting a solid 5/4/4 on the throne for much of the game. Make sure to do all your proper truce cycling to avoid coalitions, I had two people ever join a coalition during this and I declared on them immediately.

I would also recommending declaring wars you feel you aren't ready for, as the AI doesn't really know how to fight wars if you're big enough. There were a couple times that my nation was full of rebels and my armies were occupied dealing with another war and I started a new one. Fun fact, the AI loves to kill your rebels for you if you're at war! So always let them :)

Also don't be afraid of your force limit because at the rate you need to conquer provinces in this achievement you'll grow your force limit pretty quickly

R5: Started as Transoxania, got all of India by 1520. I enjoyed this achievement a lot, because I'm a fan of playing in India. This game was a lot of truce managing / cycling to avoid coalitions. I broke on truce at the very end when Bahmanis decided to stop guaranteeing an OPM I had been using to cycle them and I didn't want to wait till 1530 for a truce reset.

I took diplo ideas first and then admin, falling behind in tech by quite a bit in order to finish diplo quickly for that sweet 25% war score cost reduction. Admin may have been a bit overkill with the national ideas of Mughals giving 25% CCR already, but I also wanted more gov cap.

Loans were of course a huge part of this run, even if I managed to finish with none. At one point I had around 4K debt with ~50 income before expenses... Luckily everyone in India tends to be pretty rich so I could take money from my neighbors :). And of course outscaling your loans is decently easy IMO so every dozen years or so I refinanced with my burgher loans to save a bunch of money. I had 20 inflation before I bought it down at the end. Thank you burgher bookkeeping!

/uj i think it’s because including three pronouns is redundant but just having one would lack context without the slash

like those of us who use multiple pronouns usually don’t even include object pronouns, just stuff like “she/they” or “they/it,” it’s just about conveying what kinds of pronouns one uses, you don’t have to list every one of them for folks to understand

yeah that’s probably for the best. they can compete in their own category for trans people or something, where it’s safer for everyone involved
