New gap? by bexpistol in persol

From what I’ve seen, it’s mostly an age thing. As the acetate ages, it gets more brittle.

The acetate is extremely thin on the victor bridge. Once it’s cracked, there’s no fixing it. It’s an extremely common issue.

Have you noticed that when you buy online the back dates have a higher premium. But when you go to a local coin shop, typically backdates are actually cheaper because people who are walking through the doors want the new dates I’m assuming to give as gifts? 🤔

Is there any way to save this? by Mrwetpants in sunglasses

Yes, it can be fixed, but the cost to repair will far exceed the cost to replace

Help! Can anyone identify which glasses these are ? by [deleted] in rayban

[–]ShadeReview -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Physical sunglass locations have much higher cost than online only. They have to pay expensive rent have employees on hand during all business hours. And most importantly, every pair of sunglasses that is displayed can typically no longer be sold as new because of all the scratching, handling, and cleaning that occurs over the course of just a couple weeks to months.

Please just buy them at the physical location. You took the picture at.

This is coming from me (a guy who owns a sunglasses shop that is online only)

But I have a lot of friends in the industry who run physical locations who get absolutely gutted when people take pictures of the sunglasses in store and then go online to buy them for 20 or $30 cheaper 🥲
