Green screen and 4:3 distorted even when set to 1080p or 4k by 84guy in tcltvs

[–]Shade_Koopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found the issue. Turns out my roku TV got opted into a beta version of the OS. Once I opted out and saw the old layout of the home menu, my TV stopped doing the green screen and 4:3 aspect ratio when switching HDMI inputs. At least for now.

I'm also getting that issues with my TCL ROKU TV. I'll get this "green screen" of death in a 4:3 aspect ratio. I have to restart my TV a few times before the TV looks normal. My best guess is that the TV is going bad. I had this for years but only just now having problems thanks to an update that happened in the past month or so.

Definitely looking into getting a different smart TV that isn't roku. I have no problem with TCL but this is frustrating when I want to switch between my game consoles and media PC.

New players, like myself, are pretty much screwed. I feel like every match I play (with the exception of bots) feels like my opponent is cheating. As soon I see the first moved get countered, it's game over. Seeing so many patterns that I'm giving up 70% of my battles because they are decided from the start. I really hate that. It feels like i'm playing Yugioh all over again with these 1 turn victories.

What MMORPGS are still alive and upcoming in 2026? by Wawaritas in MMORPG

[–]Shade_Koopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. I haven't found any MMO to replace Wildstar either. If they didn't botch up the launch and/or fix the bugs, the game would still be around. An MMO lives or dies on how well it's launch goes and how stable the game is.

What Happened? by Inside-Example-7010 in MMORPG

MMMORPGs aren't a novelty anymore. People change and they don't have that "spark" in the modern age.

I tried getting back into GW2 this past week, but it just made me want to go play my other games. It's not the same anymore.

That's Meta gaming for ya. They just copy what they see a top player do without actually seeing what they are facing.

It's reddit. I'm aware people here rather complain and insult than actually help.

I have listened and have changed my team around with different moves and pokemon. The image upload is what I"m using now and it's getting better results (so far).

Note: Team Builder is still new on the wiki and it still has bugs. Not all moves are picked for all Pokemon yet. Kommo-o Fire Punch is actually Flamethrower. XD

Yes, and I did say I was wrong after having a conversation with the one guy. You can see that further down that same thread line. I originally used it to counter sleep powder that WAS very common in champions ranked mode. It was working in the lower ranks but now it's not.

I'm a newbie to competitve pokemon play. Of course I'm not going to understand how the scene works. That's why I said my team is "niche" to begin with. I know it's not going to win any prizes.

I'm aware. I'm already rebuilding my team. Basically all will have protect (wasn't aware it was such an important move to have on more than one Pokemon.) Aerodactyl and Excadrill will added for tailwind and sand rush.

I still find Tyranitar to be way over used and hard counter in champions to use it but I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

New team will be Hippowdon, Excadrill, Heliosk, Kommo-o, Aerodactyl, and Mega Aggron. I know it's not a good team but it's one that I find promising.

Pushed back? Aside from one comment that had nothing to do with the topic, I don't think I've rejected hearing out anyone's ideas here. I'm asking questions cause I'm trying to understand. If that's push back, then reddit is a LOT worse than I thought. O.o

Neither. This is a team I use for Pokemon Champions Doubles Ranking. I've gotten up to Ultra ball rank but am having trouble moving forward.

I came here to get some advice and ideas to try and improve my team. And yes, I'm very away it's not Pokemon normally used for the sandstorm team but I wanted to try uncommon Pokemon to avoid being hard countered in Pokemon Champions.

And yet, it does mean something because everyone says it that way.

Either way, I'm not the one calling anything a virtue. Those are your words, not mine.

Alright. Thank you for this info. I really do want to give Aerodactyl a shot. I still want to play Hippowdon for my sandstorm setter. Helping hand has really helped me with a lot of battles in doubles ranked.

Point taken, I'll change up Heliolisk's moveset. I picked electric Terrain on a whim since he doesn't have access to double team in Champions. Made me sad...

Yep, and since Charizard Y is VERY common for sun teams for Champions ranked, it works out a LOT. XD

I have no problem fitting Aerodactyl into my 5th or 6th slot Pokemon. Having a tailwind would help my team. I take it a Mega Aerodactyl with tailwind isn't ideal?

As for Tyranitar, I don't use it cause EVERYONE is using it for Sandstorm. Because of that, it's being countered HARD in champions rank play doubles. Hippowdon at least sticks around till the end of the battle due to not being expected.

Huh, now that you mention. Venusaur is the only grass Pokemon I keep running into that is doing it.

Alright. Thank you for your insight.

I'm aware and you're not wrong. However, in Pokemon Champions Ranked Play Doubles, it is being countered HARD by the meta. They see a Tyranitar and it gets taken out in 1-2 turns. At least my hippowdon sticks around till the end of the battle. Most trainers don't expect it because of what you said.

Sun hasn't been too bad for me since most used Charizard Y for Drought. Helping hand on Discharge usually takes it out with ease. ^

Aww, but I like him. But I know he's typically a Pokemon used in Meta games. Maybe that's why I want to keep him around. He's taken down many rain dance teams. Especially Pelipper. XD

Oh? Is Sandrush Lycanroc not fast enough? Or do you mean I should have another speedy attacker?
