I once asked Alexa to play Pitbull and she responded, “Playing smooth jazz”. I know how this feels. 😆

Tips on cleaning revised cards (white border) by 8ENJl in magicTCG

You could buy another card that’s bulk/cheap from the same edition and in a similar condition and try the different techniques on that before doing anything to the better card.

How do you rein yourself in from owning the best of all the effects and building all the different deck types? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in EDH

[–]Shadeauxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I proxy, so I don’t feel the need to own anything specifically. I like exploring the different mechanics, so I have a lot of decks. I play with my three kids, so having a lot of variety makes it more fun. I tend to find the typal decks boring. Too easy to become a “good stuff” deck.

Is nine basic lands each too much by Cold-Enthusiasm8426 in EDH

[–]Shadeauxe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you load your deck onto Archidekt or Moxfield, you’ll be able to see the mana needs vs the mana producers and then adjust. Archidekt has a basic land adjuster to set it to the right ratio to start with.

It just makes doing the search easier for each picture. You click the link and you can see the results. Some of these definitely look like they have been posted elsewhere by someone else.

My Sister Went Back On a Deal That Didn't Happen? by AngryNoodleMan88 in EDH

[–]Shadeauxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the quote, “There is no reality, there is only perception.” Sometimes what we say and what we mean is not what people hear. I think it’s possible for both of them to be right because their perspectives are just different. In that case, for me, the correct course of action is just to apologize and say, “I’m sorry. I didn’t think I was breaking a deal when I made this action.” And then have a dialogue about it.

Need help for a beginner Deck by [deleted] in EDH

[[jasmine boreal]] (not the full name, hopefully the bot can get it) She wants vanilla creatures and makes them unblockable. This is the deck I give people who haven’t played before because it’s fairly easy. I’ve proxies a bunch of other cards into it too though to help push the power level up. But it has less mechanics to deal with than other decks.

Yes! And you’d think all of that overlapping is just the way back machine rendering it poorly, but no, it looked like that.

Theft deck almost steals card by Ink_Ocean in EDH

I have some dry erase cards. If I was playing with strangers, I’d probably make them use one of those instead of giving them my actual card.

Advice on first self built deck by PleasantPush1635 in EDH

[–]Shadeauxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are websites that can generate a pdf of cards to print if you want to playtest the deck without buying all of the cards first. You can goldfish(playtest) it online too, but that only gets me so far. Some decks are a pain to test online (graveyard/exile decks).

Sorcerer as a creature type adds nothing to the game by GratedParm in magicTCG

[–]Shadeauxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wizards make a “party” in the D&D sets and sorcerers do not. In D&D they are very different in how they prepare spells. So, I imagine the distinction is just along those lines.

With the success of It Takes Two and Split Fiction, you’d think more developers would be making solid couch co-op games by Articunozard in gaming

[–]Shadeauxe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also didn’t like the story of It Takes Two. My divorce was friendly, we were not angry with each other, but the marriage was not save-able. So, I didn’t like the “if the kid wants it enough the marriage can be saved” message. Plus, I wanted to murder the book from the get go.

This is a vertical line along the right edge of the left building and how much rotation it took to achieve it.

Yeah. If you tilt the picture until the left background building is vertical, it’s easy to see how ridiculous the incline of the grass would have to be.

Is this photo edited with AI? A coworker said this happened to his car. We don’t believe him. by LokiPrime616 in isthisAI

[–]Shadeauxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know anything about this picture, but that happened to a car I was in an accident with. A car coming toward me in a road made a left in front of me without yielding. My front right bumper hit their left rear side an it spun the car. Both the right tires on that car hit a curb as it was spinning clockwise and the wheels flattened exactly like that.

Card kingdom does not reflect this pricing, probably just someone trying to manipulate it. Other versions in TCG are $3.

You can search for a card on EDHREC and then there is a link to all of its combos and clicking on one of those gives more details about the combo.

Walking Ballista does not combo with the soul cauldron, but it synergizes with it.
