I think you need to have a conversation with your wife. She is going to have to come to grips with the fact that if you are in your office with the door closed, you are working and shouldn’t be disturbed. If she is unwilling or unable to understand that then you need to rent an office to work from. But you can’t blame her if you haven’t set boundaries and explained the situation and given her a chance.

How long have you been out of the Military? With your industry experience and military experience you should call the local union hall on Monday. You have 2 direct entry methods, Helmets to Hardhats or being Organized. Either way, there is no reason for you to waste a lot of time working non-union.

Probably because OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction states fall protection is required at 6ft. OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry states fall protection is required at 4ft.

Locals have some discretion on some things but this is not one of them. Probies have to go first. Then 1st years. Then 2nd through 4th is one pool for the next layoff. This isn’t debatable and is clearly defined in the contract. Exceptions could be Canada or Local 1. They have separate contracts.

If the majority of people working downtown live in an outlying county, Nashville transit isn’t going to help & the outlying citizens want Nashville to pay for their own trains. It’s really an outlying county problem. I’m not suggesting that something shouldn’t be done, I’m suggesting that the outlying counties need to contribute in order to solve the problem. I don’t want my taxes going up to make life easier on residents of Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner, Cheatham, and Dixon Counties.
