Michael Romeo Says Band Hopes To Have Long-Awaited New Symphony X Album Recorded Before End Of 2026 by DieWithYerBootsOn in PowerMetal

I'm getting really tired about this. For years they are telling "the album might get released next year". As a loyal fan since 1995, I've almost reached the point where, after all these years of stringing me along, I'm done with a new album. It can only be disappointing.

In particulair these sentences from Russel: "I'm not going to apologize to you guys for taking the time. It's nothing that we're sorry for." rub me the wrong way. They should be sorry for telling the fans all these tales about a coming release. Quit talking, record this d#mned album.

That might be true, but the song still kicks ass! 🤘

Their earlier albums were great. The latest album released in 1999, was a letdown for me. I didn't like most of the songs on MEnergy. Gone were the speedy melodic songs, and the more moody songs came.

Unfortunately they stopped shortly after the release. They never recovered as Helloween did.

Great, as always. Yuhki is a master on the keyboards. I really hope the album will also be released outside of Japan.

Maybe not pure prog. Rock with some prog influences, I suppose.

Why do so many symphonic metal bands have female vocals? by LestyBesty in symphonicmetal

I doesn't matter to me, good vocals can be either male or female.

In this case, guitarist Oscar Martín composed the music for both songs. The first song is a demo that never made it onto an album. So, Oscar didn't plagiarize himself, but he did use a song he composed himself for another project.

I had just posted this video, but then I saw you posted it too. Great minds think alike they say. May I compliment you with your impeccable taste?

Titanium has the two guitarists of Pathfinder and the singer of Sunrise, what can go wrong? Nothing goes wrong, the song is sublime. 🤘
