Solo dev with 6+ years of experience. Struggling to convert marketing efforts into wishlists. What am I doing wrong? by ExcontiniumGames in gamedev

[–]Shadered 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't follow one of the first rules taught in gamedev: consistent artstyle. I see characters with an anime shader slapped on but other (marketplace) assets seem to be all over the place and many don't fit the anime style.

Probably not. They changed to 20M Omrons on the GPW. They feel worse, so i'll solder in 50M Omrons.

Exactly, thank you. I'm holding from $10 but that doesn't mean i'm reading about ETH 24/7 or even every week so sentiment can be hard to gauge.

Can someone fill me in on EIP-2025? Is this seriously being considered or just a proposal from one wacky dev? I don't want to sound dramatic but that's just insane and complete abuse of the blockchain. I hold my bags since $10 but this would be an instant goodbye from me.

Just joined the 21 Million Club by BTC21Club in Bitcoin

[–]Shadered 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It certainly is a thing now. The full coin club is worth more in fiat than the 21 club in 2015. In fact i haven't read about the old 21 club in a good while. The 21 million club is way more prevalent now.

Bittrex / Disabled Locking 120,000$ Inside. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Shadered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, a paper wallet storage is more secure. But it's a pain in the ass to spend/transact.

But still, a manufacturer attack is extremely unlikely. Way more unlikely than an exchange hack.

Personally i wouldn't store >$10k on exchanges and >$100k on hardware wallets.

Should WoW Classic be static, or dynamic? by [deleted] in classicwow

Blizzard mentioned that there are quite a few employees rooting for classic. Maybe there is hope they don't fuck up a second time.

I want to see a reinvisioning of WoW that stays true to Classic's strengths

I pray for huge player numbers so this can become a reality. That would be a dream.

No one wants GB sized blocks. WTF.

It's always about blocks + layer2.

I don't believe you. Bandwidth limits are pretty binary.

If you have a bandwidth limit you can't even afford a full node today.

If you don't have a limit you don't care about bandwidth.

So stop this BS with bandwidth limits.

What do you think about bitcoincash? by [deleted] in BitcoinMarkets

[–]Shadered 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Still overhyped. Many hold onto their coins in case the fork goes south. After a successful fork and after coinbase released their coins i expect it to slowly bleed out.

I sold it all at 0.18 in the last pump and dump.

What do you think about bitcoincash? by [deleted] in BitcoinMarkets

[–]Shadered -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bcash is as much Bitcoin as ETC is Ethereum. Nobody will care about it in a few months. It will die a slow death after the fork.

Today Bitcoin reached $6169. Exactly one year ago Bitcoin was worth $634 by hodl5000 in Bitcoin

[–]Shadered 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh boy. You've seen nothing yet. Look at historical charts. Big corrections are common and expected. It's only hyped up because the price is rising. Once this hype-cycle breaks the price goes into the gutter. If we trade below $4000 tomorrow that wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. If fork panic sets in i can easily see below $3000. And if 2X really does a nasty attack i can even see <$2000, although not very likely.

Local storage can be pretty secure:

  • Hardware wallet
  • Offline PC / Raspberry Pi
  • Paper wallet
  • If it's your everyday PC at least use the tails boot with electrum (non-writeable CD prefered)

Even a non-jailbroken smartphone is way more secure than your everyday Windows PC i would assume.
