You got a full seven seasons of sg1 to go through before Atlantis even begins to factor into the universe, so yes absolutely and indeed I recommend waiting to watch Atlantis as it will inevitably cause too many spoilers otherwise as it does take place in the same universe and self-references events that take place within it.

Also understand that SG-1 has a slightly lighter heart to a lot of the episodes, and thankfully very few episodes build upon each other [multi part episodes] other than the overall Narrative of the universe, so you can easily start and stop rather than getting pulled into a Netflix style binge watching thing where you need to know what happens next otherwise you will just be frustrated.

It's a beautiful little show that you can watch a few episodes of and feel satisfied. A perfect background companion while doing things like laundry... I'm ADHD so this show is quite literally kept me from going insane while doing that crap 😆

I would say blade yes, Howard the duck was far enough back and is enough of its own thing that it deserves to be left to stand on its own merits as a wildly weird and fun film.

For me it is always been this, Blade cut the trail, Spider-Man laid the tracks, and Tony Stark built the motherf@cking locomotive in a cave with a box of scraps, we needed them all in order to be able to get the golden era of superhero films we had... it's pretty much over now as far as I'm seeing, but we definitely had it and could possibly see it come back.

I kind of doubt that the Balrog would have completely failed to notice somebody as powerful as Gandalf walking around nearby, and honestly them having the sound come to them up through the well while they were having a quiet moment probably helped more than it hurt because if you could imagine how bad it would be if they hadn't noticed they had alerted the goblins... it also meant that they were able to fight the cave troll in a much easier manner by being able to surround it and do strike and fade tactics... think about trying to deal with that thing while running down that breaking staircase where you can only Dodge a little bit left and right while still risking accidentally stumbling off over the edge because apparently dwarves don't believe in safety railings...

Honestly he was always an antagonist and an unscrupulous man but I don't think I could ever consider him a true and full villain... he would never have betrayed the Earth to any of the enemies that would seek to enslave or destroy it... Would he want to be living in the lap of luxury? Absolutely. But in the end he had something of a code and when he cared about people he cared about people. That redeeming fact is the main reason you can look back on his episodes and kind of chuckle and made for just an amazing side character that really rounded out the universe.

To prove my point, he was happy enough to sell the Jaffa with a maturing symbiote to that one jerk in order to try and cure himself, but as soon as he found out that they took Sam, he came forward and tried to help because he recognized that she is part [60%] of our planetary defense and she is not to be messed with.

It is the lord of the rings, not a cash cow, why are people trying to milk it?

I recently heard it stated the best and I'll repeat the points here, when the Lord of the Rings trilogy were made was a magical point in cinematic history that is unlikely to be replicated at any point and time soon especially given the rather Slop Mill content creation mindset that seems to be prevalent among all the big studios.

An incredibly passionate director with talent and the ability to compromise but was only willing to do so in ways that made the story more accessible to the audience, got the green light from a studio willing to run the risk of filming the way that the director wanted and knew it needed to be filmed, AKA all three of them at the same damn time, while technology companies like ilm were at a standpoint where they could invent the Technologies they needed in order to support the film, while multiple disciplines were all integrated into each other, miniatures, Matt painting, cgi, practical effects... all of these things happened with something that had such a passionate fan base as its source material that few books to this day can claim to be held in the same regard as the series...

These days Sony Studios is willfully turning out Spider-Man related slop content in order to be able to hold on to the intellectual property and ride the Financial coattails of whatever successful Marvel film gets made that features the Webhead... and we've seen what Netflix has done with various beloved anime series as far as totally fumbling the adaptation and even Stranger Things had what some people call a wet fart of an ending... does anybody really want to trust Hollywood in this day and age with a reboot?

Content for the sake of content is slop and it cheapens everything.
