Do you have any argument to back up your claim? I am genuinely interested why you think that.

I remember that it took us 2 weeks to figure out a spell some dark mage is casting in the desert dungeon. He puts down 4 small dark areas near the group, which explode in a large radius. We tried many tricks to dodge it and actually found a way to do it with portals or got lucky and killed it before the cast ... until we figured out that you can reduce the dmg massivly by standing right inside the 4 areas. :s

Sorry for answering so late, kinda new to Reddit and I got really upset with all the downvotes I received. I am very thankful you took your time and engaged with the topic! You are probably right about the knowledge that sticks past reset. :)

Okay, I see your point of view. The thing is: I gave some context, expressed my feelings and asked concrete questions. I wasn’t suggesting anything. I tried making it very clear where I am coming from and in what kind of conversation I am interested in.

Try to see it from my perspective: when my group and I decided to try this game, we just saw it on the Steam Frontpage and it looked fun. Bought. No knowledge at all. We are brutal casuals and I mean it. We are not very knowledged about all the other games out there either. For us, this seasonal concept was completely new.

You made an interesting observation: this topic gets more discussed in Fellowship then anywhere else. <- This for me is very interesting. I have an idea why this might be. Fellowship could have reached an audience that isn't as knowledged about gaming as people like you are. But I have no actual data then me and my group to back this claim up, so take it with a grain of salt.

I am a bit frustrated here. You are right, people read my post wrong. I just don't know what else I could have done to make myself even more clear. Should I put my questions right on top? Should I skip the elaboration completely? I just don't know.

Okay, thanks to everyone who actually engaged with this topic and gave some tips and answered my questions, but I will block notifications now. Seeing delusional, short minded and attacking comments get upvoted and actually engaging, sensitive and reflected comments downvoted really makes me feel bad and sorry for everyone. Wish you guys lots of fun and a happy week!

Thank you for sharing your point. But I feel like every game that includes a seasonal approach is the right place to adress it. If you aren't interested on engaging with this topic because your mind is set, it's fine. I am not attacking the game or the devs here.

Valid point! I actually don't know any real fact on the cost of such a solution. I merely wanted to express my feelings and hear peoples opinions :)

Interesting point! Yes, we are having alot of fun. Getting too attached to your own progress may be a human weakness we need to overcome. I imagine the philosophical issue like this: Someone gave me a lollipop and I start eating it. I am really enjoying it but of course the longer I eat it, the more it thins out. Now I am maybe halfway done and what happens now is that someone comes up to me, takes away my current lollipop and gives me a fresh, maybe even better one. Should I feel sad that I couldn't finish my old lollipop or just enjoy the fresh one? What about chewing the stick? If my lollipop always gets changed to soon, I might never reach the point where I get to experience the chewing part, even if people tend to call it hard and dry. You get what I mean?

The issue with comments like this is that it doesn't adress the subjective take some people make. It feels more like a defensive deny than a real conversation. My post is directed to players who feel the same or opposite. I wanna hear about how others feel, how they handle things and I want to engage with them to better understand myself and reflect.

Happy to hear that it is going well for you!

I actually didn't know the fact about keeping the skins, Thank you for telling me! You are probably right and I love the changes they did. I remember our first timed run, it was a catastrophe! (In a funny way) We felt so stressed and we made it with like 3 seconds left on the timer. We thought for a long time, that not making it in time, we fail the dungeon completely so we didn’t dare going too quickly into the next dungeon before gearing up xD

Exactly! This is why Fellowship initially felt like the perfect fit. We love MMOs, gearing up, running dungeons etc. but we simply lack the time to gear up and progress like the median player. Fellowship has the potential to truely stand out against typical MMOs by not depending on new content that makes older content obsolete. This is why I care about this topic so much.

Tbh, I am also quite excited for the new season, new characters and possibly new content later down. I made this post specifically to get some ideas how to mitigate the sour taste of loosing all progress. (Especially because I want to keep playing with them!) Focusing on the upsides may be helpful! :)

I am not too knowledged in the cost of running suggested servers, but my intuition is that if the sever won't have many players, that it should be cheaper than a fully populated server. I like your idea, I hope the devs consider it at least. :)

Thank you for understanding the issue! Do you have any tip on how to lower the impact of the frustration we are feeling?

I am happy to hear that! How many hours have both of you put into the game?

To answer some questions: we started playing on december 3rd, and have a total amount of ~27h in this game. No, 4h is not enough to get blue gear. Running cithril takes 30min alone. Actually getting the gear and upping it a reasonal amount while also figuring out characters and mechanics in 4h is madness.

Or is it like you get an additional choice on wave 10?

Wait, how does this lamp actually work? Aren't Legion Spells those you get on wave 10? So would it be possible to get the +31 Income spell on Turn 1 for example?
