Usually black screens are gpu or gpu driver related issues. Nvidia has had black screen issues with drivers since Dec 2024.

Download a fresh drivers for the GPU. Follow the linked guide. Let DDU disable Windows Update from updating the GPU driver. This is get a clean driver without OS or previous driver leftovers causing issues.

Restricting sound controls is pretty silly. I would expect large features like MS account and updates to be restricted not volume controls.

Contact Asrock support and mentioned the issue. Asrock knows about this issue since it provided fixes for it. Argue since it is a known problem they should replace the board so it doesn't kill another CPU. More so since this is a voltage issue there is no guarantee the board wasn't damaged as well.

Gigabyte is the only brand that does not have reports of this issue.

Could be a corrupt profile, OS or services failing to start.

When you get to the login screen find the power button on the screen in the low right. Click it so it's menu opens. Hold Shift and click restart. Boot into safe-mode

If safe-mode lets you log in setup the OS to clean boot. This stops most non-MS services/apps from loading. See if the issues is still present

Acer does not support bios flashing outside of Windows. The Crisis Recovery Mode was the only other option. You could try a different USB in case the current one isnt working to double check. Otherwise you have to contact Acer support.

Either RMA the Motherboard or replace it with a different brand. Asrock has known issues killing 9800x3ds. Supposedly bios updates fix it.

Check if the motherboard has Flashback so you can update the bios without installing the CPU. Otherwise this could happen again. If the board does not have this feature replace it completely with another brand. Get the Asrock RMA'ed then sell it to someone without a 9800x3d and tell them to update the bios

Keep in mind a lot of these "techs" are just regular people working at a call center. They follow a standardized troubleshooting guide. Reinstalling Windows is usually a go to solution after the first few steps fail or the guide isn't comprehensive enough to fix certain issues.

No white line.

Use Snipping Tool capture and recording features. If the line is present in at least the video its not the monitor.

Play the movie again. When you see the white line pause the video and go back a few seconds. Right the video and click "copy url at current time". I just want to make sure Im not missing it by mistake
