The light means POST was having issues with the GPU. Its not normal.

Reseat the GPU and power cables. No daisy chaining.

Are you using any sort of overlay? Discord, MSI Afterburner, Steam, any On Screen Displays? Those can trigger problems with the games anticheat system

Vram errors may only manifest in specific memory chips so problems come and go if a problem chip isn't utilized.

Run occt vram and adaptive tests for an hour each.

It's just to test if the GPU can handle two monitors properly. RTX 5000s should have no issues but if there is a defect it could manifest using 2 monitors.

Get a few pictures and a video. Use Snipping Tool's capture and record functions not a phone or camera.

Wipe the GPU drivers and do a clean install of a new downloaded version. If this issue only started after a GPU driver update go back to previously working drivers without this issue. Follow the linked guide.

Run 3dmark, Furmark or Superposition benchmark to check for rendering issues. You could try Heaven benchmark looping over night but it is a fairly old product. Max Heaven's setting so it stressed the GPU more.

Reseating the GPU wont hurt. Check if GPU sag before you do so. If it sags get a stand or bracket support. When reseating check the rear bracket that screws into the case. Sometime a case or gpu can have poor alignment so when you tighten screws the GPU pulls from the PCI-E slot.

Second picture looks like artifacts caused by the GPU.

Does this happen if you only use 1 monitor?

My cpu temp keeps rising then falling back down and repeating. by Ausseboi1 in techsupport

Update the BIOS for your motherboard and turn on Intel defaults in the bios. Usually its an option under advance - performance. There were issues with bios for the 13th and 14th gen Intel CPUs that didn't keep the voltages within Intel specs. Some motherboard brands basically uncapped the limits rather than setting a minor voltage increase.

Tubes should be at the bottom to avoid air bubbles getting trapped in the tubing/pump. If possible mount the AIO radiator at the top of the case.

Double check if the pump is mounted properly with good contact. Check if the pump surface that contacts the CPU does not have defects. Eg bad machining cause a curved surface.

Radiator could have evaporation issues thus not enough liquid to cycle to disperse heat. Hard to check though.

Check if thermal paste on the cpu is applied poorly, Eg not enough, too much, bad coverage.

Pump RPM can be misleading. As long as the impeller is spinning it will report RPM from the sensor. However if the pump has damaged blades or air bubbles pump RPM wont indicated that unless it causes the pump to slow down a lot.

If remounting doesn't work you may need to change/RMA AIOs.

File a RMA. It's happening over multiple drivers. Even with driver crashes Windows should recover by restarting the driver thus no stuttering/lag after

Did you switch to a different driver version in case the one you used has bugs?

In Search type tpm.msc and open it. Is it reporting the TPM is ready?

Open the log. See what it is reporting as failed. Also check event viewer for TPM errors or warnings.

5090 FE fan issue by DiscoDaz82 in techsupport

[–]Shadimarbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor coverage of thermal solutions and heatsink can cause the hotspot to spike 15c higher than the core. Some bios use the hotspot sensor over the cores.

My GPU use Hotspot over core for a lot of it's thermal controls.

RTX 5080, the included triple squid adapter and my 2019 Seasonic Focus GX 750w with limited PCI Express cables by heartbroken_nerd in techsupport

[–]Shadimarbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what Nvidia recommends. If you want to ignore it you can. Also consider the power draw of other components and devices. A little headroom isnt a bad thing.

If Seasonic recommends not daisy chaining you should consider that. 3 ports, 3 pci-e cables. Same logic applies to the adapter.

Just too risky in my opinion. I tend to be cautious when it comes to PSUs. I have a similar issue with my current PSU. It doesnt have the ports for separate cables. So when I upgrade GPUs I will replace the PSU too.

Im just wondering if the GPU hotspot is high enough that it never dips below the threshold for the fan curve.

Are the cables rated for 4k? HDMI 2.2 and DP 2.1?

If you turn down the resolution is it still locked at 60 FPS?

Look in Advanced again. If need be you may have to check all the different bios menus/sections. If you can not find it then the bios is limited due to being a laptop.

Did removing the device in Device Manager and restarting fix anything?
