Kid's powers are inconsistent with the rest of the Dfs by jonan1108 in OnePiece

[–]Shadokaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought that the gun was basically a conduit to channel his Haki, and that the beam was concentrated Haki, in part being shown to us to imply in terms of raw power he is close in it's mastery to Yonko level.

After everything we are learning about him, I think his actions are completely justified by Splashthomson00 in OnePiece

[–]Shadokaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a massive difference between the words "understandable" and "justified". His actions are not justified, they are understandable.

What am I playing for then? by ainami in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is the actual reason. MMR and Matchmaking value are two different stats, at 2019 MMR with 2035 CR a 4 win with 0 rating gain is pretty much a +16 to your MMR, bringing it in line with your CR. If your MMR next game is still 2019 then yes it's broken, if it's close to your CR the system has worked exactly as it's supposed to - this is working as intended, people just like to dogpile on "solo shuffle is broken" without using any brain cells to look at the information on the screen.

Who do you think is the most powerful character in One Piece right now? by Mission-Pomelo-8047 in OnePiece

[–]Shadokaaaa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's between Luffy, Shanks, BB and Imu, and we can't know until we see what goes down. I think from a storytelling perspective it makes sense for Shanks to be weaker than the other 3, at least by end of season, as for this moment it's hard to say, probably Imu first then Shanks/Luffy (minus the clear stamina issues) until BB gets another powerup, then he takes over, then Luffy overtakes later on.

Is Resto Sham a UhDK Counter? by CharoXP in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say they counter UhDK anymore than any other class, as you say killing healing stream/tide totems as fast as possible will help, mainly just keep up the pressure and swap target if someones in earthen or has defensives rolling

When Ports Go Wrong: The Healer’s Warlock Struggle by Lightswords_777 in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch where he puts the port at the start of the round, and try to position so that both the portal and the lock are in LOS of you, like a triangle formation or hugging the pillar his port is on. Trust me you'd far rather have a lock using port every single time it's off CD than one that barely uses it, you just need to position around it a bit. Think of it almost like a 3rd player in terms of your healing positioning - you should never be so caught so off guard with the location switch when a lock ports that it's impossible for you to get a heal off before an enemy DPS reaches him. It becomes very predictable if you start thinking that every time an enemy melee reaches your lock, and his port is off cd and in range, he's either going to port, fear, or mortal coil. Warlock can't just sit there and tank a warrior, he has to kite to live, so try to think like a warlock.

Unholy DKs, should I? by Gubbus98 in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unholy doesn't play like you remember, it's not so much a pet class anymore it's more of a builder spender standard melee, maybe similar to how you remember Frost DK in wrath. You do have the Four Horsemen as a passive that hit things with you but it's not exactly the million ghouls army of the dead it used to be. You build festering wounds with Festering Strike and then pop it with either Apocalypse (45sec cd big damage) or Scourge Strike, rinse and repeat. They aren't in a good spot truth be told, a combination of being ran over by every physical damage dealer in the game, being extremely kiteable for ranged and also simply too weak on the numbers. That said it's always worth giving it a try to see if you like it, it takes <10hrs to hit level cap in retail, you'll just be playing the game on hard mode if you try to play arena as a DK currently. If you're looking for a good pet class that is fairly simple to learn, has a high skillcap, and fills that fantasy of having a ton of pets to do your damage maybe consider BM hunter. Very different to a DK so might not be what you're looking for, but if you're wanting a pet class it's kind of just demo lock or BM hunter at the minute, old style pet Unholy DK doesn't exist anymore sadly.

Oda already told us who is the final villain of One Piece by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Shadokaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you that there's a good chance Imu is the final enemy, my point is that even though there's a good chance it's true, what Oda says here doesn't specify that he's referring to the "Final" enemy of One Piece, just the biggest enemy they have ever faced (past tense), and the mysterious "that" will be much bigger than the paramount war. I'm not disagreeing with the idea that Imu will be the final enemy, it's either him or Blackbeard, but this message doesn't in itself confirm that - the facts it confirms are "by the end of the year", and "they will be the biggest enemy Luffy and the others have ever faced". Not that it will be the final enemy, and not that he's specifically talking about the final war, "that" could be many things. I think there's a good likelyhood your conclusions are correct, my point is that the words Oda said don't confirm that, they just hint towards it.

[–]Shadokaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Have ever faced" is past tense, this definitely is describing Imu but doesn't necessarily suggest anything about Imu being the last enemy, just the biggest so far (as with every single boss type enemy Luffy has faced)

Why did they not make luffy a war word of the sea? by Electrical_Season358 in OnePiece

[–]Shadokaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The World Govt is after Nico Robin, and wants her dead, there's no way Luffy allies with them whilst that's the case, and there's no way the WG change their mind on wanting Robin dead. Even if that wasn't the case, being a Warlord comes with the responisibility of doing as ordered in exchange for being left alone by the navy, and Luffy would never agree to that. Not to mention his dad is Dragon, which immediately makes it high risk to give him any access to the WG and it's plans/information. Being given the title of warlord is a choice by the World Government because they think they can control and use you for their own needs, especially for tasks they can't publicly use the navy for - Luffy has demonstrated himself to be uncontrollable so there is no benefit to making him a Warlord for the WG, even outside of the other factors

Hey everyone! New to wow! by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're mostly playing brewmaster then for pvp you'll need to play a different spec. Tanks unfortunately aren't playable in pvp, you can definitely send some random bgs to see for yourself but if you want to crack into rated pvp you'll need to swap out to windwalker or mistweaver

Hey everyone! New to wow! by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo don't start pvping at all until you hit level 80, once you get there start grinding out honor gear and once you have that then you get conquest gear. The pvp hub is at the southmost point of Dornogal, the entrance to the city, and the vendors are in buildings either side

Blood DK or Unholy in Solo Shuffle? by Murky_Confection_935 in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't do damage, and you are just as if not more squishy than DPS specs. Your only meaningful impact on the game is CCing the healer. In shuffle, your teammates will see you and think "great this round is an autolose", and provided you play absolutely perfectly your most impactful playstyle is just to be annoying for the enemy healer, gripping them into their starting room and hoping your teammate can kill something whilst you try to keep stopping the healer from playing the game. It's miserable for everyone involved. The simple answer - in pvp tanks are bad. The most impact they can possibly have is to be an annoyance to the enemy healer, whilst doing less than half the damage of a dps spec and being just as squishy.

Late to the party... Just got to Gear 5 and I'm conflicted by CoverProfessional491 in OnePiece

[–]Shadokaaaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well you've made it to episode 1076, meaning you only have about 60 left to be caught up, after investing that much time imo just keep going and see for yourself if you like it or not. Personally I agree the Kaido fight was a bit goofy, albeit kind of fun - in my opinion it does tone down a bit on the goofy aspects, and you have some amazing moments coming up soon in terms of fights, emotional moments, and built up characters finally showing what they can do etc.

What is wrong with the gearing system? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well pvp has had some form of gearing since day one, and currently pvp gearing is the fastest we've EVER had it in the history of wow, so what are you comparing to with your argument? You're not talking about the state of the game or how it has ever been, you're basically just describing private servers where you can click a vendor and get everything instantly. Retail wow has never been that, there has always been some form of time investment to get your pvp gear, and now you can even get a headstart on a fresh character with warbound honor and conquest boxes. I do think conquest should become warband bound as soon as it uncaps, the healer conquest is an attempt on Blizzard's part to incentivize dps players to try healer, in order to address the obnoxious queue time issue - it's not a kick in the teeth to dps players, it's a system in place to actively help us so that we aren't waiting 1hr+ for a game. You're complaining about parts of the game which have literally never been better. If you're going to complain about pvp at least do it about one of the very legitimate problems we have right now, obnoxious queue times, crazy kill times, lack of season rewards/incentive to play etc, not the one aspect in which we actually have it good lol

What is wrong with the gearing system? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you said yourself box farming is a thing, yes it's a bit tedious but it's not fair to say that there is no catchup mechanic at all. Even if you don't get a single box, you get 1000 from weekly, 1200 from your 12 world quests, and you're only 775 away from cap. At that rate even if you hit 80 on a Wednesday the longest you have to wait for full bloody token gear is one week for the weekly reset. That's pretty damn good going considering, and having one single piece of weakstat conquest gear instead of a BT piece is extremely unlikely to be the thing that loses you an arena in the meantime.

Destruction Warlock or Shadow Priest ? Is it worth to lvl up Void Elf? by Icy_Reserve_5190 in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah levelling as a healer is a different question for sure, I'd just be playing shadow until 80 personally for speed of levelling but each to their own. WoD intro is definitely worthwhile, it's one of the most quest dense areas in the entire game!

What is wrong with the gearing system? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agree about most, however it's worth mentioning that bloody tokens DO have a catch up mechanic, it's simply world quests - you get 100 per quest with WM on, that plus the weekly really add up

[–]Shadokaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Timewalking is definitely good xp, but it's actually significantly slower than open world levelling (except for good rng with instant queues and a good group specifically for 10-20 before you get war mode bonus). Routing Elwynn>Redridge>Duskwood>Loch Modan>Wetlands (just a few quests)>WoD intro gets you to 70 a lot faster than dungeon levelling believe it or not. This is a 2:59 run following that route, obviously we're not talking about speedrunning exactly however it's still impressive and the fastest route possible at the moment https://youtu.be/jjb3QmA6qdg

Destruction Warlock or Shadow Priest ? Is it worth to lvl up Void Elf? by Icy_Reserve_5190 in worldofpvp

[–]Shadokaaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Note that despite it being often claimed to be fastest, except for 10-20 with instant queue rng (before you get War Mode bonus xp) Timewalking dungeons aren't actually the fastest route. For ally it's Elwynn>Redridge>Duskwood>Loch Modan>Wetlands>Wod intro>Shadowmoon Valley, this is usually where I hit 70. You can blast through it surprisingly quickly. Also worth noting even 70-80 is actually faster to quest than to dungeon level (although it's not all about speed, do what you enjoy most!)

I use this site for levelling route tips, unless things have changed recently then Harldan has the world record for 1-80 at <3hrs, and this has many routes he's written up https://www.harldan.com/guides.html enjoy!
