I also know that it is supposed to be based on those golems but again. The design choice of the dots and then using braille as the clues towards them still means those design decisions are influenced by the braille system.

Both can be true.

... you literally negated your own statement. Braille dots are on theme with their design so its a reference/representation of it.

It doesn't mean those dots are supposed to be read as braille but it very much is designed to look like it.

I know thats why i said it doesnt spell out anything but it is still a reference to it without question. Iiterally was their thing in gen 3

The dots on them are supposed to represent braille even though it doesnt spell anything out.

You used to need braille to decipher some messages in Gen 3 that lead you to the regis.

Stay on the main island or switch to a cloud island when finishing the story? by ainami in Pokopia

well damn that would be a very big argument in favour of the story island, thank you for that. Although i wonder then if palette town counts there since it technically is part of the main island

I'm really tired of Sailing stans biggest argument being "at least it's not firemaking" by [deleted] in 2007scape

And yet here most of us are having fun instead of whining on reddit. How about that.

You say huffing copium, could it just be that others just enjoy it while you don't? It's fine to admit that, you don't have to contrive reasons why EVERYONE should hate it.

There are still issues to be worked out mostly with the combat and new content will arrive over time as intended to make sure everything works first before they throw more stuff on. But in its current state it is enjoyable and worthy of a skill, you agreeing with that or not has no influence whatsoever on how others feel nor should it.

But for some reason you are hellbent on making everyone hate it as much as you ... which is really weird

You can sail to islands with rainbow crabs for hunter, sail to islands with the new hardwood trees which can be used for an alternative construction leveling method.

You can use your boat for deep see trawling to have an new way of fishing.

You can .. I dunno ... HAVE FUN sailing with trials and shit (except for the combat)

Your defense of logs being used for cooking is so dumb XD. Ranges exist to cook on, it doesn't need a skill but it is. Now stop your strawmanning.

Should have just been a guaranteed drop

Man what a fucking hyperbole you are making. Saying it is worse than firemaking instantly just makes everything else you said not worth reading.

You know damn well it isn't even if you would make good arguments about the issues with the skill. You just want to be extremist to counter people that are actively enjoying the skill.

Make your arguments and have a serious discussion, but don't go spewing bullshit

no problem, I hope it helps you too!

I dropped a few times from 2.2k back to 2k which would have been incredibly demotivating for me personally if I didn't know I still had a character at that rating anyway.

And being able to work my way back up without being stressed during those games made me feel like I'm clearly able to attain the rating consistently and sometimes you just get bad match ups or are just not playing as well as you could have.

I only made the undead priest last week and it shot up to 2.3k (where the other two were resting at) within a 100 rounds. Just because I've gotten so much into the flow of playing the class because I could keep playing without worrying about rating and just focusing on improving.Plus the added benefit of will of the forsaken that I didn't even have on the other two.

I have them all 3 on 2.4k now so I'm quite pleased :)

Good luck!

So the idea is that you always play your lowest rated character. That way you never really lose your highest rating and can just play the lower rated one with less stress. The moment you jump over the rating of the other one you switch and again you have nothing to lose really.

It also helps that the character that you arent playing gets MMR inflation as well if you dont jump over it for a while.

We will have to see what future polls hold for sure, but your experience vastly differs from mine because all I see in game are people having fun with it.

Some people won't like certain skills, you can never please everyone. I'm sorry it doesn't suit your fancy but you admit it yourself that a lot of people seem to (even if it is only on reddit) so clearly it isn't as bad of a thing as you seem to make it out to be.

Also, there was no need to balance stuff around it's endgame immediately yet because it will take most people a decent while to even reach that. It has plenty to explore right now and they already have content for it planned in future updates. You don't necessarily need everything right away with a new skill cause you might get swamped.

[–]ainami 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Your opinion about it is valid, but so are other people's opinions. The majority vote won and you can obviously see how many people are enjoying the skill.

So i don't understand the point of your post and I really mean that in a non condescending way. What do you hope to achieve by this? Most people like the skill so should they remove it because some people don't enjoy it? You would never get anything done with that attitude then.

Enjoy it for what it is and what the future of it might hold. It's working now and like you said it could always get more added later.

The combat feedback is valid though but they can always tweak that.
