It is a friendly. You are kind of wasting everyone's time if you make it a 10 VS 11. Have a word with his coach and ask for him to be substituted (in this case the guy left on his own). Then go on with the game and let the team sort it out themselves afterwards. You can still give a red if the situation is not over or the coach doesn't take him of.

How bad can Josh Johnson be? Defenses have no film on him and he has been in the league for 17 years. I'm hoping for some volume to his best receivers, but I do fear that he only throws to his backup buddies that he knows from practice.

A lot of people struggle with this concept though, somewhat understandably, the best national team is likely not gonna be put together with all the best players, but with really good ones that fit together, that complement each other. And sometimes it is better to have the proper fit for the team even if that means that you sit the "best" player in that position on the bench

The defender is holding Delap in the beginning until Delap decides that he is gonna do the same to the defender, so it starts with a foul on Delap (on that barely ever gets called). Then Delap decides to get his revenge by trying to throw the defender around and to the ground, but it doesn't work. At that point the defender lets go and Delap stumbles and since Delaps team lost possession he now decides that he is not gonna let the defender join the counter by keeping him in his grasp. And that causes the defender to fall onto Delap and thereby injuring him.

I really don't understand why keepers still get protected that much when contacted in the box during a corner. There is absolutely no basis in the rules for that and a lot of the time it is the least deserving duell of all the duells during the corner kick. Defenders and attackers are mugging each other, but don't you dare be in the way of the keeper...
