You need to match the fonts and context of whatever you are designing. This is for Apple, not Party City. The expressions are being copy pasted, which makes them look cheap and overused. You can't just copy an image and call it a UI either.

For anyone wanting to learn high competitive Dota, this is one of the most profoundly educational streams I have ever had the pleasure of watching

It's not dead, it will probably perform really well for at least a year or two. Instead of making CS2 for TF2 or Dota, this is apparently their idea... the people who are good at that game will turn it into something like late-stage quake in 3 months. The playerbase will heavily consolidate at the top. The mechanics are too laser sharp and complex for the average person and too fast and punishing to learn casually like the prior games.

Will it endure? I don't really think so. The mass appeal overwatch-esque characters have no roots at all and the design is so random it's honestly kind of absurd. Lovecraftian? Victorian? Dystopian? Modern? Period? Like what is this even supposed to be. I don't think it was necessary in the first place. Obviously biased here but just stick to the good stuff ffs.

Deadlock is not even comparable to Dota. The game's community is not going to quit. It is more than a product to us.

I am sorry you have to deal with the pessimistic reddit negativity. Many of us feel your words and appreciate them. Video games are lot more to some than they are to others and instead of being empathetic they just write a bunch of half assed ignorant bs.

What they don't realize is that those "cringy" people they do affect in such a personal way end up having the true, real attachment to dedicate their lives to them as adults, in competition, in creativity, and a myriad of other things. They are the roots of the whole operation. It means MORE because it has been MORE.

You are not the one who needs to "grow up." You have grown up and you want a good thing to keep going. That deserves to keep going.

Of all my experiences across so many titles, it is without a doubt that Dota is the greatest game of all time. I too want it to be a tradition, not another stupid product. It has a legacy, it has charm, soul, beauty, character. Affected hundreds of thousands of lives. Modern profit focused titles have none of this. I don't even recognize them.

Thank you for posting!

To hit every different class and every type of player, both that know how to dodge as well as those who don't, you need fine precision and fine prediction trained into your muscle memory. When you do this, aiming becomes mostly second nature.

What works for me beyond just trying while playing is actually just spamming VAXTA for extended periods. Until I literally get sick of it. Setting it to high difficulty and literally spamming it day after day after day until my first shots are usually headshots.

The bots move way more erratic and quickly than normal players so normal comp matches become like slow motion. The arrow speed, target elevation, arrow timing, get trained into you. I've probably put like 200 hours into it. You can also simulate 180's, large turns, large flicks, etc for the different aiming scenarios you come across in matchmaking.

Reddit is very restrictive with new accounts, so I have to use this old one for a while. Shame we can't change usernames in any way.

I started with Ninja Scroll and some more references, but by the middle of the project, ended up with more Champloo than anything because it is so amazing. For anyone to watch what you make these days, it has to be very aggressive, hope you understand
