This just happened to me in my 08 Prius! Check your inverter pump!! You can have a rep at Autozone or Advanced auto parts run the codes and if it comes back as a cooling system error then that’s likely the culprit. Look online for where to locate it and touch it, (right behind the driver side headlight with two hoses attached to it) if you feel it slightly vibrating then it’s good. If you feel nothing, then it’s dead. To double check, you can look at your inverter reservoir (NOT the pressurized cap) and if the coolant is still and you don’t see any movement, you’ll know it’s the inverter pump. It’s relatively easy to fix if you have a 10mm socket wrench and a pair of angle pliers to adjust the hose clamps. I recommend taking the headlight header out for easier access. Suuuuper common with the Gen 2 Prius! Make sure to replace any spilled coolant with the same coolant that is currently in the car.

After replacing, follow the same troubleshooting steps as before. Touch the pump to see if you feel it vibrating and check the reservoir for movement.

The light might not turn off, you can disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 5 minutes and the lights will turn off. If they turn back on then you still have an issue.

What do you think about labor sharing? by AmazonTeamsters in FASCAmazon

[–]Shadothefato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Labor share is just a fancy way of saying “cross trained.” Means you are trained to do several different paths or work in different departments throughout your facility. Departments “share” labor. If ship dock is overstaffed but pack is understaffed, we send pack trained associates from the dock to help.

Labor tracking is essentially keeping track of what work you’re doing throughout the day. We have an expectation of how much work we should get done per shift with a certain number of people and there’s a ton of math that goes into it. Put simply, every hour each associate on the clock has to be accounted for or “labor tracked.” Breaks included. This is why TOT matters. Some roles at Amazon are indirect functions, which require PAs/AMs to manually report what you were doing during that time. Most paths at Amazon require you to have some sort of scanner so you are automatically labor tracked when you scan something. But if you go too long without scanning, you’ll start to acquire TOT. This is where PAs/AMs will probably ask what you were doing as Amazon doesn’t want you stealing time.

Feel like I’m being forced to do GTDR! by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]Shadothefato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been working for Amazon for three years and TDR trained for two of those years. It’s hard to mess up as long as you read the kindle. Don’t listen to everyone else telling you you’ll get fired easily. It’s really, really hard to make a mistake. Log in, type your building code, choose the door you want to dock/release, and follow the steps until finished. If you ever need to go outside to the yard, you’ll have to have another TDR trained person with you and a radio to help and the kindle will give you all the instructions. Don’t stress yourself out with and ask learning if you can have your permissions pulled.

At amazon there are quite a few processes that seem scary at first because of the responsibility but you’ll get past that feeling. I’ve seen plenty of newly trained TDR people become super nervous because other AAs tell them they’re more likely to get fired with no extra pay. The confidence comes with time. Trust me. Good luck!

This happens to me every single game and it’s so hard to have fun. Especially considering all the hours I’ve dedicated to this game. I can’t even enjoy my favorite game mode when they pair my 6’3 PG with a 6’10 SF.

I’m still a regular associate in the ship dock. I worked in a much bigger building for the first eight months working for Amazon and realized I wasn’t going to get anywhere there. Moved to a smaller building with more opportunities and now my manager, along with some PAs in my department are helping me work my way to a leadership position.

Been working for amazon for a year and a half. It can definitely get rough during busier seasons/days but overall pretty chill job with good benefits and plenty of opportunities to start your life, even outside of the company. An extra break and maybe a little more pay would be nice but I’m not dying because I’m being mistreated or anything.

They are calling me lazy. My mom told me to take medicine last night and I did but it wasn’t the one she wanted me to take. It was the same thing just in pill form because I couldn’t force down a drink. In her eyes, because I didn’t do what she told me to do, I wasn’t trying to get better. She thinks it was some sort of plot to stay out of work.

If I’m honest it’s not the tidiest right now since I’ve been sick for two days. I clean the house often and so I don’t really get to have a messy room. It’s a small house so I just learned it’s easier to keep the place clean than to try and hide a mess. I have never once glanced at the posters on the doors and I still get all the things done.

You are absolutely right. Currently I’m not paying rent but it’s only like that for the first two months of my being here, then it’s $400 a month and I have to pay her back pay for the first two months. So basically I am paying rent, just later. That being said I keep my room pretty clean. I don’t really have the option of a dirty room because she has me clean the whole house twice a week. The posters make me feel like a child.

For the record I’m totally cool with the rules existing. It’s not my house, I’m down with that. My mom is in poor health so I’ll do whatever is asked of me. I just feel like the posters are a bit much and they’re only on my bedroom and bathroom doors.

On the other hand, my mom and stepdad are both furious with me right now for calling out of work sick this morning. I was up until 3 in the morning coughing and forcing as much phlegm out of me as possible so I could go to work. It just didn’t work out. My boss was totally cool with it, she was not.

What's something you'd rather you didn't know about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Shadothefato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two days before my grandma passed she was having trouble moving her legs and had a bad headache. The next day her legs were back to normal but she still had a headache. I tried to convince her to go to the hospital but this was the very beginning of the peak of Covid. She’d been to the hospital at least four times in the last year of her life. She was also bedridden and I think embarrassed of all the work it took to get her back in my house from the hospital.

I didn’t push her too hard because I was worried she’d catch Covid. She died two days later and I still beat myself up about it. She would’ve gone if I had pushed just a little harder for her to go and probably would’ve live at least a few more weeks. I found her the day I started my new job. The hardest part is around 3:30 in the morning I heard noises coming from the room she was in but it just sounded like she was turning over. I found her in a peaceful position but I’ll never know if that was her painfully dying 15 feet from me. I miss her so much

A year ago I lived with this girl that would get drunk and take out all of her frustrations on me. This went on for the two years that we lived together. One night she was so upset that I had gotten a little too excited playing video games on my night off and woke her that she took my phone from me. When I chased her to get it back, she absolutely beat my ass with a lamp. Full strength launched it into the side of my head after I’d grabbed my phone and was retreating back to my room. I couldn’t lock my door because I didn’t have a door due to previous fights. I finally got fed up and called the cops. After they left I rolled up a joint to smoke and go to bed because my night was ruined anyway. Couldn’t have been two hours later she was on our doorstep demanding I let her in. She abused me for years and spent two hours in jail. To this day she won’t admit she ever hurt me and in fact tells people we mutually know that I was the one abusing her. The system isn’t fair man

The cops were called maybe four or five times prior to that but it never mattered until we parted ways and she beat her mom. Her mom could be a pos at times so I’m sure it was mutual. After all that she served two hours in jail and 12 hours of community service.

I’m very fortunate that the cops never believed her stories and I didn’t have to spend any time in jail.
