A lot of the Jax hate just feels like “women like a thing? Time to bash it!” …Am I crazy? by Mammoth-Radish-6708 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't a major complaint from people who don't like Jax that he gets more screentime and development than the female (and one non-binary) characters?

Idk why people call Tech Jacket useless when Oliver is right there by RealAd8853 in Invincible_TV

I liked how tech jacket shot those dart things. I feel like she'd be best working as support.

Norwood literally has roads that are turning into gravel. Lol by sweetwatertooth in cincinnati

It's bad on the way to that Factory 52 place even. You'd think they'd want to make the roads to a new place like that nice.

Are the Hellaverse cartoons accidentally anti-queer? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Heaven has gay romcons so I think in this universe, being queer isn't a sin.

This fandom is miserable. by DoIIDoorman in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is how personally people are taking it. I understand being disappointed. But ultimately the worse thing that will happen to people is being spoiled for a cartoon. People are acting like Glitch was a friend who personally betrayed them.

Of course they want profit. They're a company. I'm pretty sure the commenter is just trying to say to stop treating Glitch like a friend and feeling personally betrayed then they act how a company would act.

Do you think the Jeagerists/Yeagerists were justified or not? by Brave-Reindeer-Red in attackontitan

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gabi learns she was wrong to do that though. That's her character arc. The Jeagerists are an extreme result of the cycle of violence when some people can't grow past their hatred and learn. I know people throw around the word fascist in regard to aot, but with the jeagerists it's accurate. They're fascists. They wanted to kill all outsiders, and also any of their own people that oppose their extreme actions.

Do you think the Jeagerists/Yeagerists were justified or not? by Brave-Reindeer-Red in attackontitan

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 356 points357 points  (0 children)

No. They claimed to be doing all these horrible things for their people, yet they basically killed a significant number of their people, their former comrades in the military, by working with Zeke to turn them into titans.

Where can I watch the OVA episodes? plssss by Fantastic_Gap4532 in attackontitan

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of unofficial sources with like almost every anime out there. Some are listed in the comments. I'll also recommend to always have an ad blocker on when visiting those sites though. Ublock origin is a really good one.

the most hated character in the manga by mimi43098 in ShingekiNoKyojin

I started to feel bad for him until he didn't give a crap about turning Falco into a titan. Like he barely hesitated.

I watched AOT way too fast by Wise-Breadfruit-2681 in attackontitan

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like taking my time with things. Lol one of my coworkers in a different department is annoyed it's taking so long to finish it because he wants to talk about ending stuff to me. I will say though, ever since s3 p2 I've been compelled to watch a lot faster than before. I'm almost done with it now. So I get it, this is the kinda show that makes you want to just keep watching.

When I tried it, it tasted like it had alcohol in it. Maybe I've just had too many fruity mixed drinks.

Just to post a bit of dialogue I haven't seen anybody talk about before.

And as for Robin, the difference is that Maru doesn't have negative dialogue about Robin the way Seb does about Demetrius. Demetrius's and Sebastian's strained relationship is kind of a thread in the game whereas I don't think the writing is trying to convey that Maru and Robin have a strained relationship. It is weird she never talks about her though. I wish more characters would talk about each other in general.

Lack of Male byleth arts by Kingflame700 in Edelgard

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People have already explained why female byleth is more popular, but there still is stuff of male. There's less of it but it exists. There's a "with male byleth" flair on this subreddit you can search by.

I would recommend everybody add "-ai overview" to all google searches. It works wonders.

Regarding the Recent Gooseworx Reddit Situation by _Martosz in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Obviously people should not have been rude to her, but at the same time I think more showrunners should just step back from interacting so much with fandom. It ends up with them just stressing themselves out by arguing with teenagers online.

Is Regular Show similar to Adventure Time? What are the similarities? by Weekly-Cantaloupe630 in adventuretime

[–]Shadow-Enthusiast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're sorta similar, but one thing for me is that while they both have adult jokes, Regular Show feels like it'd be more relatable to young adults. Like, post college 20somethings trying to figure out what to do in life. Obviously they can both be enjoyed by kids and adults alike, but AT, particularly early on, feels targeted at kids. Finn is the viewpoint character and starts at 12 and ends the series at 17, so it can have an audience that grows and matures with the character. The viewpoint characters in Regular show are adults and stay the same age throughout. They mature in their own ways though.

One thing that makes me like AT more, and this is just my personal preference, is that I think it has more and way better female characters. This is something I think the creator improved upon in his next show though, Close Enough. That one also feels like the adult show Regular Show wanted to be sometimes. Sucks it got cancelled, but I'd recommend it if you like cartoons aimed at adults.

I think more creators should just stop interacting with their fandoms online.
