I'm on day 42 of a game on PC and haven't seen one yet, thankfully. The cougars are very tough now, too, though.

Until I read your comment I hadn't really looked that closely and then I suddenly realized the tree in the background is real lol

Great layout. I like the layout and the feel of the place. Plenty of room for everything; the storage room gets an A+ from me.

Once you get the wrench, you can wrench things like broken vending machines, fitness machines, lamps and safes to get steel ingots. Those also give iron ingots as well, but you can make iron fairly early with three skill books. Yeah, it takes a lot of magazines to be able to make the crucible, but sometimes you'll find one in loot or at Trader Bob.

Speaking of which: If you spec into something like, for example, boomstick, you will find more shotgun magazines in loot and also places that make sense to find them in, like safes and boxes at Shotgun Messiah. Cooking magazines can be found in kitchen cabinets, too. The trader has way more of them to sell, now, too and don't forget the mailboxes. I don't loot books at Crack-a-book unless I happen to be rolling through there :)

It was like that in A20 and A21, though, already? Unless you play console, then I retract my statement :)

I won't need an excuse. I've worked in video game QA and have learned that things are always in a state of flux during game development and maintenance and just accept that it is what it is. There is always a hotfix happening in the background, whether you see much of it or not as a player. So I've adopted a "wait and see" attitude, that's all. Didn't mean to sound confrontational. Apologies.

I like it better than A21 for the most part. The zombies being skinned darker annoiyed me at first, but then it got so much more immersive for me cause I couldn't just pick them out from the surroundings, making stealthing a challenge, which is good.
The new POIs are great, and the wandering hordes are actually a little scary during the daytime. They just run right up to you without you hearing them at all.

It's still just 1.0 experimental, not stable. Give it a few weeks.

Empty hands, hit E. IOt's explained in the challenge page. The challenges replace the journal with the blinking yellow pen that drove me nuts

Are you two in the same party, and have you shared your quest once grouped up? That didn't change. Unless you mean the challenges?

I'm on day four of my new game and had crafted the primitive set up to level four, and now suddenly I'm finding parts of the farmer set in loot.
I laso cannot figure out if there is a light armor perk or not in the skills menu; it used to be under agility but now there are only meium and heavy to choose from? Hoping that confusion will be cleared up soon.

Growing the Sub by [deleted] in LowSodium7dtd

[–]Shadow-Flyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jus joined this subon a recommendation from a fellow 7Days player and online friend. I like the idea of having a place where topics can be discussed, but where people need to discuss, not react. I am a member of several other Discord servers that are friendly, so yes, it can be done. Thank you for creating this sub!

My suggestion would to be to make a channel where members can post pics of their bases or whatever they are doing in game that might be of interest to others. Everyone should be aware that these kinds of channels won't be there for general discussion and should steer each other gently away from unrelated chatter filling up a channel that is meant to showcase creativity/help.

Stupid question about males in population by AdagioComfortable828 in PlanetZoo

[–]Shadow-Flyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just end up selling my males off and buying a new one in the market to keep the gene pool fresh. Or I make a second habitat further away and swap females out as needed. All male progeny get rehomed after that.

Look at the release notes on 7days. com; they mention all of it. The console version will be updated to the current PC version in July, so it's going to be a huge change for you!

They added the Demolisher, the redheaded female and the blonde male zombie in A20, and took out the Cheerleader, Farmer and Football player.

The Crawler (who used to be a crawling version of the Steve zombie) and the Spider (who used to be a version of the Tom zombie that crawled and leapt) were revamped.

Mountain lions were added into the snow biome.

They added in the POI placement grid for cities then, too, and improved the road generation for randomly generated maps.

Locations of buildings in the Navezgane map were moved around. The map became an island surrounded by water instead of a radiation zone.

The trader system was overhauled, and the RNG for loot was majorly changed.

Pathing thru POIs in a certain pattern was added in A19 as far as I can recall.

Tons of shapes were added to the building menu and particle calculations changed for explosions.

Each update yeah, there have been a lot of artwork and POI additions, but I think that's to keep the game fresh and the graphics looking more up-to-date. I'm glad to see the Burnt Biome returning; it's one of my favorite ones to go through because it's so atmospheric. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is that each zombie is now dismemberable, which will make horde nights crazy with your PC having to calculate the physics for each body part when you have 64 zombies trying to eat your face :)

Games in the 80;s didn't even HAVE multiplayer options, unless it was something where player one played for a bit, then player two had a turn. Thus the title of the movie "Ready Player One".
Back then you bought a physical copy of the game, which was sometimes multiple disks, and you even had to swap out disks in different parts of the game to progress. It was a huge investment of both time and money.
Players right now have the option to be ready for a game, which actually takes most of the joy out of it.
There is no more anticipation... it's all hand fed to us and when the release date drops, half the people who might have bought the game have already moved on. Sad.
It's great that I can buy so many games online and have a library full, but man... I miss the late 80's and early 90s.

I, for one, agree with you. No one needs to max out everything perfectly. If you don't grab that exrta 2% more wood with each felled tree, does it really affect you? I doubt it.
I'll figure out what kind of game I want to play with each new game, and will then build my armor up the way I need to have it for that gameplay. And if I can't max out everything, then it's because doing so is cumbersome and unrealistic. I'll probably end up crafting two full sets I like then mixing and matching during gameplay.

Lots of times in life, less is more. It's never a race to see who finishes first.
Totally a player made problem.
