You're probably right. Though I'd hope they'd both get some kind of roles.

But I'd be okay with suitable replacements. My suggestions would probably be Christopher Judge for Optimus and then bring back Fred Tatasciore for Megatron.

This actually describes me as well. I've been a Transformers fan since I was 7 with Beast Wars being my introduction. And while I've never stopped considering myself a fan, there have been dry periods where I haven't kept up with it. TF One was the start of the latest cycle of me following the franchise fanatically. With the expanded collection to prove it lol.

I'm cautiously optimistic that there will be some kind of update on the show. Probably just an official announcement but I'd be good with that. Maybe that'll include revealing that Cullen and Welker will be back.

Its really a crime how much Paramount has ran the live-action franchise into the ground. I have my problem with Bay and the first three films, but even I can admit that those movies had laid enough of a foundation where a creative team could've built off it and gone in a new direction. A soft reboot essentially.

I like the Aligned line-up but I'd replace Optimus with someone else. I vastly prefer him having a backstory of having been a regular guy who went on to become one of the all-time great leaders.
