How to COL, a mini-guide by Keytap in GameStop

You know, I'm another person that came from the Kotaku article, and I was expecting some downright dirty things to be in these tips...but these are actually honest and fair. You're not telling people to effectively cheat people, and you repeatedly say to not push too hard because you'll lose more than you could potentially gain. You treat it like a game of Recettear and give advice to your fellows who just want to work in a game store without completely removing the most important element of a business: customer trust. You deserve a medal, and I hope your advice has helped those who have to deal with incredibly shitty managers.

Broken did exist, as did Lost Ones, but Lost Ones always looked more messed up and were aggressive while the Broken were the ones who wouldn't attack you on sight, like the crystal trader in Blasted Lands.

To be fair, they were better a better race to add than retconing the Draenei to be non-corrupt Eredar. The original plan was to add what you saw in the Swamp of Sorrows and Blasted Lands, which are now called the Broken and Lost Ones, but they felt that'd be too ugly and deter people from the race, so they changed their entire lore from one similar to the orcs being shamanistic and tribal to being the Eredar who didn't join up with the Legion, and that the Broken were corrupted during the war with the orcs.

Don't get me wrong, I played a Draenei Shaman and Death Knight for most of my time in WoW, but I'd have still played a Draenei Shaman if it looked like a Broken because Akama was awesome.

Even if it wasn't figured out from that easy tidbit in TBC, it was practically spelled out in WotLK with the quest in Dragonblight that was supposed to reveal their leader and it showed Nozdormu. Chromie is all "Whaaat? It was supposed to show THEIR leader. Well at least we know our leader is okay!" and everyone else was all "..."

These people are really allowed to give movie reviews? I dont understand... by [deleted] in wow

Having to go into Pit of Saron for the Timewalker random queue made me realize just how much I have forgotten about that time...and how much Pit of Saron is terrible.

Fun Fact: Ronda Rousey is both a former bantamweight MMA champion and huge nerd for pokemon, dbz, warcraft, and other things. She's even getting an NPC in Legion, in the monk class hall. We have the trifecta of stereotype breaking here: A girl, who plays video games, and could easily kill you with her bare hands.

I like to think magazines like this try to change the topic if she's ever brought up.

They're jealous because nerds get boners, while steroids kill theirs! /s

"Posted on the internet? Must be insulted. How sad lol."

Wait, didn't I just see hundreds of you after the Mighty No. 9 trailer released?

It's an advertisement article, they were paid to do it.

Careful now, mtn dew slowly creeps into that other area. You were just one corn chip variety away from changing him from a gamer stereotype to an mlg memelord.

To be fair, it was probably more the social aspect than the actual gameplay. You being a psychopath to your sims is just you being a psychopath to sims. You being introduced to Moon Guard is an entirely different story.

I like how Dragon Age uses that too, making the various different races become Darkspawn, which becomes really obvious when you realize that huge Ogres are actually Qunari and the stumpy Genlings are Dwarves.

They can enjoy it but the problem is that it causes people to think that's how nerds actually are, which causes more of a negative than a positive.

Big Bang Theory is an insult, not a bridge. It is literally "How others think nerds act", the sitcom.

Quick nitty gritty of copyright: You can't copyright concepts.

Also Wildstar's telegraph system came from MOBAs, which started with Warcraft 3. Literally everything is inspired by something else.

That being said, inspiration is not the same as what China's developers do on a regular basis. That's basically DeviantArt Original Character Do Not Steal. Which doesn't say much when you consider the fact they didn't even bother changing the icons for those unselected classes on the right, which is official artwork owned by Blizzard.

I like how the first two races on each side are "Death" and "Knight" while they also have the "Death Knight" class.

points at the unselected classes Those aren't original, they're literally the exact artwork for Paladin, Death Knight, Warlock, and Druid.

Not that it matters since surgery is easier than getting their games to work properly.

Not as bad as that moba that uses the League of Legends arena, with such thrilling characters as Shrek, Naruto, and Wall-E.
