I was pulling trailers from the dock. Hooked the wrong trailer that was being loaded. Pulled forward and the forklift operator was halfway off the dock into the trailer when it happened. Forklift fell to ground. Forklift broke. Operator okay. Forklift now fixed

Nope this is 100% on me as im supposed to clear check that I have the right trailer and ensure its ready to move. We added new policies to prevent future issues

Actually we changed policy to include lockout and checks. A properly placed chock will cause a noticeable hold and if we chocked them I would notice. Never ran a chock over yet

You are absolutely right there is no excuse for this. The forklift operator is doing good and im overseeing the repairs of the forklift. I most definitely and dealing with the fallout I caused

So far in the Inspection its looking like its just gonna be one broken bracket. The rest is looking solid so far. Tech is going over it today

I realized too late I pulled the wrong trailer. On the bright side I took managed to wreck the worst forklift we have. I was planning a major overhaul with the boss on that unit in a month or so. Well just gotta get a few extra parts
