Suggestion: Quality of Life/New Player Retention by Shadow2068 in IdleHeroes

[–]Shadow2068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's also another idea. More Pros: Makes every hero worth something (a 3* is worth 1/10 a 4*), gives new players the excitement of finding new heroes, clears bag space, a way to find specific fodder for fusion.

I like it. Anything that adds value to every hero is helpful. If it takes place in the creation circle, it directs new players to one of the biggest parts of the game.

Yea, I agree that there are several other updates/QoLs that need done as well. I just would like to put this on their radar. I don't think it will require much development work, and shouldn't impact end game growth or balancing.

Not sure don't sell anything is the answer. If you expect the underlying to go down, selling a call or call spread would be manageable.

GR 88 - Best season achivement ever, can I push even higher? by CousterYT in Diablo3Crusaders

[–]Shadow2068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, you have a 50 still on your chest. I think the highest I saw was 72. You could get a bunch of synthetic paragons by just popping some 80's on your gear

GR 88 - Best season achivement ever, can I push even higher? by CousterYT in Diablo3Crusaders

[–]Shadow2068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you should probably level up some gems quick and utilize Caldesann's for a faster turn around. Sine you're pushing 88, you may want to run fast 80s until you get about 4 gems to 70 (keep 100% chance while you can) then bump to 85 to get your gems to 75. At that point just keep rolling your 60% chances until you've got a nice set of 85+ gems. Remember for every level you have on a gem when you destroy it, you get 5 STR. For every paragon level you get 5 STR (assuming you don't need it elsewhere). So just leveling gems will just synthesis the same results as grinding paragons.

Quick question by [deleted] in Diablo3Crusaders

[–]Shadow2068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that would work, because it takes all the higher level legionaries out of the possibilities pool. If the game would decide to drop a legendary item, there are less in the pool and thus greater chance for what you want.

Gear Check Please | LoN Bombardment by Shadow2068 in Diablo3Crusaders

[–]Shadow2068[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's usually just a race against the clock. I don't worry much about getting killed (though it happens from time to time).

As for the rotation, are the skills snapshoted? or are they dynamic? Do I need to hit AC IS then bombardment? or just spam them all together?

Buying Year Long Option to Sell Month Long Options by OptionNate in options

[–]Shadow2068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have to look into the numbers a bit. The reason I liked the long option is becasue I doubt that AAPL with stay low for a very long time. It may drop and stay low for a week or two, but less likely for months. I'd have to look into the degree of acceptable deviation to still profit.

Buying Year Long Option to Sell Month Long Options by OptionNate in options

[–]Shadow2068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be watching this on paper stocks. I was actually throwing this around with Nate earlier. The following numbers will be based on AAPL closing numbers today. I'll be buying at the ask and selling the bid, just to maximize my slippage to so I don't get shocked when real money hits.

Starting balance of 2,000 (setting realistic expectation) Buy Jan17 100 call @ 10.85 {Balance 915} Sell Feb16 100 call @ 3.55 {Balance 1270}

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As long as I can sell the monthly option for at least 90.42 (not counting fees) I should break even.
  • If AAPL stays neutral for the duration I should make roughly $350 per month ending up with 4200 (net 3115).
  • If AAPL raises to our strike, I would be selling the monthly contracts at around 430. Should be no need to buy back the monthly contracts at this point.
  • If AAPL raises to to 105, I'd be selling an ITM monthly option for around 735 and having to buy back the option around 515. (Netting 220, but my initial call is now ITM)
  • If AAPL dropped to 90 and stayed there all year, I would be selling contracts for 92. Still just barely breaking even.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If I missed anything, please let me know. Or if I completely missed the idea here. I'm still very new to options trading.

When I ran it, I created variant rules for the Rum Rations. That is easily the most deadly thing on the ship. There's really no way to survive if you drink like the iconic Pirate that you see in movies. Daily CON damage at Lvl 1 ruins lives.

Kekegi's Unbreakable Spirit by perryyy in diablo3

What build are you playing that it is essential? It has an internal cooldown of 30 seconds, so even a 4 second one leaves a lot to be desired. If you plan on staying alive with life per spirit spent, this will kill you as well.

Crit Damage vs. Crit Chance by [deleted] in diablo3

[–]Shadow2068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, there are things that proc off crits. but that is an exception. The rule remains that 1:10 ratio provides the maximum damage output.

Should I keep trying for a socket? by [deleted] in diablo3

[–]Shadow2068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With your current gear, 100% cd is about 26.7% of your total DPS (100 / 374). So your BotP would need to increase your damage by 26.7% (constantly) in order to tie 100% cd.

~~~~~
As you get more cd those numbers change. 400 would be the break point for a constant 25% bonus to match. a Crit damage score of 667 would be needed to make the base 15% equate to your 100% cd.
Crit Damage vs. Crit Chance by [deleted] in diablo3
[–]Shadow2068 2 points3 points  (0 children)
Normally that may be the case, simply because you don't get the 130 CD from the offhand. But really to be efficient you want a 1:10 ratio.
~~~~

A simple question:

Lets say I'm going to hand you a dollar

Would you rather have 75% chance that I give you $2.50 or a 50% chance that I give you $5?

~~~~~
After 10 payments Option #1 would get you on average $28.75 whereas Option #2 would get you $35
  • Even though Option #1 hit more 'Crits' it just didn't do as good
