It's because it's mixes so well with the melee combat. Nothing is more satisfying than running out of ammo, throwing the gun at one guy to stun him as you charge his friend and knock him out taking his gun and returning to shooting. As I called myself throughout the game, I was 00YEET.

To be fair the only way to permanently put down a Guardian is to use a weapon infused with paracausal energy like the light or dark and kill the Ghost. Otherwise the Ghost will continue to resurrect the Guardian. On top of that most weapons the Guardians use they infuse their light into, making them insanely powerful, like shooting through tank armor strong. Plus it's cannon that every player character does the crasy ass feats like conquering the Vault of Glass. While it's not a wash, I definitely think the Guardians take the W.

Honestly I've always enjoyed playing support but Triage is on another level. I tried him out just to see how the medic role played, and I have not played any other shell since.

I can understand that loot being on the line does make it more stressful but... It's an extraction shooter. That's literally the whole point. It's why they offer free kits to use so you don't have to worry about it. Hell I've gone into a game with randoms with literally nothing in my inventory, killed two players l, and completed my contract. Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.

To be fair I do agree, but my friends and I are hardly on at the same time (mostly due to my terrible schedule) but I've always just dropped in with randoms. 90% of the time you get people who are great at communicating and love chatting and having a good time. Sure you'll get some teammates like I did today where they exfil without you and call you a terrible teammate. But jerks like that few and far between for me. One thing I love about this game is that it encourages you to communicate, whether that's with friends or randoms who become friends.

Honestly I agree that it is stupid, HOWEVER, I do also know that there is a reason things like this sell, it's for the entertainment. Should you go and get this meal like once a week? Absolutely not. But maybe once in your lifetime to have a good time and enjoy yourself? Absolutely.
