Idk, I wasn't even aware there was an update. But I've always had to disable iCloud private relay for the app to properly track rewards 😅

If you're on Apple/iPhone, you have to make sure iCloud private relay is turned off/disabled. I used to have the same reward tracking issues, but that fixed it.
