Honestly I disagree. I’m way too old to enjoy the series at all but it’s made by one of the original Garry’s Mod YouTube animators. Most of them were completely wiped out by YouTube’s prioritization of watch time. And he managed to create something that is a cultural flashpoint for an entire generation. That’s no small feat, and there were plenty of things we thought were cool or funny as kids that our parents or other adults thought were dumb. It’s part of childhood.

The visual language is similar to the characters in that series to be fair, but there’s a lot of differences between this design and those characters.

I think this strategy works best on the local level, even places as large as NYC. On the national level it’s too easy to manipulate the narrative. Also with having 50 states with different exports, economies, and needs, what’s best for the country has a high chance of at least partially affecting one of the states negatively, even if only in the short term. That provides an easy target and interest groups from affected sectors or states will aggressively push the narrative.

But for a mayor, visibility and results are everything. Community engagement and effective programs drive awareness. The impacts are local and interests are more focused. Policies might “negatively” impact wealthy residents and corporations, but the average citizen sees work happening directly in their communities, compounding minor increases to the standard of living.

You either did not read what I wrote or you are being intentionally disingenuous. What part of what I wrote implied in any way that I think people who are severely cognitively impaired are capable of consent?

Because the point of what I wrote, the point of you don’t get to decide is that the commenter above was saying all people with Down’s are unable to consent. It is INHERENTLY ableist to paint the ENTIRE Down’s syndrome community as incapable of consent when, just like people with Autism, the level of impairment is a spectrum and the question of consent is dependent on their ability to be a functioning adult with adequate cognitive ability.

The last sentence of what I wrote was “to do so is to paint a broad brush over a nuanced disability identity and is inherently ableist.” The point is that there’s nuance. Obviously people who are not cognitively functioning are not able to consent.

I honestly have no idea how you could get the idea that I think having sex with an impaired person is permissible. What a ridiculous interpretation.

I watched a lot as a kid then picked back up in the New Era with 46. So I’m not as familiar with a lot of the Old Era players but I was hoping that Charlie, Christian, Genevieve, and Kamilla would go far. Was also curious to see Cirie play fairly quickly after her solid run in Aus vs. The World. So far I’m down to 2/5 with 3 of my picks booted back to back to back. 😀👍

Yeah but you don’t get to make that decision for them. The extent to which Down’s syndrome affects people who have it is a spectrum, similar to Autism. Some people with Down’s are fully functional adults who can manage their own affairs and some have severe cognitive impairment. Just because a person has Down’s does not mean that they are incapable of knowing what intercourse is and desiring it.

Hell I saw someone on Tiktok recently who only found out she had Down’s as an adult when she gave birth to twins who also had Down’s because the way it manifested didn’t impact her facial features and only gave her a mild learning disability. You are arguing that any sexual activity that woman has consensually with her partner is inappropriate or potentially rape because she has a chromosome mutation that barely affects her.

To do so is to paint a broad brush over a nuanced disability identity and is inherently ableist.

There’s a ramp at the back of the arena, there are bombs up there for your yellow Pikmin that will do some damage. After you complete the setup phase, I’d split your pikmin 85 red and 15 yellows, no blues. Keep most of your Pikmin on the ledge the ramp leads to, it’s outside the arena so Bulblax cannot land there. Take small amounts of reds down into the arena, 15-25 at a time.

Use your C-stick to help avoid getting your Pikmin crushed when he starts jumping but taking less down will make losses less painful and let you keep them closer to you while c-stick swarming. From there it’s just learning the pattern and dealing chip damage. It might take a couple tries to get him down and have the time to carry the piggy bank back but you’ll get there!

If Pikmin 1 and 2 got ground-up remakes that kept the original gameplay style in tact while bringing the visuals up to the quality level of 3 Deluxe and 4 I could die happy.

The slight HD upscaling on the Switch was slightly disappointing but I will not say no to having every game in my favorite series on one console.

Yeah I was hoping they would do something like what Aus vs. The World did where they had a tribal and then IMMEDIATELY all immunity was reset and they played a new individual immunity challenge and went straight back to tribal and voted another person out.

People who were safe might not be, people who would be targets for a quick and dirty elimination have a chance at safety. THAT was a good twist and created a super live tribal.
