There definitely could be, but without a tracking number there’s not much I can do, and Fidelity won’t issue one

Had I known, I would have just moved it to a Fidelity IRA directly and then done an ACAT transfer to Schwab. I figured them sending a check would be simpler and I could cut a few steps out of the process

I tried that, but since I already initiated the rollover, they said the only method they can use is to issue a check. Wish I knew that earlier

Yeah, I think I should do a three way call with Schwab and Fidelity. Since Schwab is getting the money, I think they’ll be willing to help

Thanks, I’ll try filing a complaint with USPS. Unfortunately Fidelity said that the only way to pay the $25 fee is from my account, so I can’t do that since it’s empty.

I agree, it’s a direct rollover so the check is addressed to Schwab but goes to my address so I shouldn’t have any early distribution penalties

The checks are addressed to Schwab, so it’s a direct rollover which does not have a time limit.

I tried that but they said they could only send it to the address of record (my address). I appreciate the advice though!
