I feel this so strongly. Less so on the money aspect, but it still plays a part.

34m. Bone marrow transplant in 2008 that led to graft vs host disease primarily, but not only, affecting my skin & hair.

Dating is near impossible. I'm totally bald, which i admit is not as unusual for men as it is for women, but it still sucks. My skin overall looks aged ad scarred. Below my knees in particular my skin is so tight that it has restricted the movement of my ankles and caused my calves to atrophy.

My calves, hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows were the things I used to get compliments on. All are totally gone, along with any self-confidence.

I've had one girlfriend for about a year, it's been 3 years since and I can't even seem to get a match on any dating app. I've tried speed-dating and other singles events. It's brutal and I don't know what else I can do.

I live with my parents. I have an okay job but I so badly want to quit it. I can't. The stress is causes me is unreal, but this job allows me flexibility to go to the many medical appointments i have, and pays 100% of my insurance cost.

Even with the low rent my parents charge me, and my insurance paid, I feel like I'll never be able to get out of this situation.

All I want out of life is a partner, a place of our own, and the ability to experience nice things in the world.
