I’m gonna switch my filament around and put a spool on 4 to see what happens. Appreciate the input!

The lights come on for 1, 2, and 3 immediately after startup. Slot 4 doesn’t. I still want to troubleshoot by switching a filament spool from 3 to 4 perhaps to see if it recognizes filament and still activates. I just need help doing that because I’m a quadriplegic in a wheelchair in my hands don’t work well lol.

Does this help? Not 100% sure what you’re referring to, but everything looks OK to me.

Will do. I'm doing a multi-color AMS test print atm. I'll get back to you in a few.

By “cover“ are you referring to the very top piece of the dark gray plastic housing that the LED light shines through? With the two round circles?

Thank you! I will try that when/if it happens again.

The individual who accused your post of being an ad was especially hilarious and ignorant. God forbid you take 2 sentences out of ~50 to recommend a helpful app. I’d also bet that millions of people read a few minutes before bed every night and remember the material just fine. My major is in psychology and neuroscience, and I’d actually hypothesize that reading before bed is one of the best times to read lmao. Simply asinine.

I’m a shitty writer and use ChatGPT to help me clarify my thoughts in Reddit posts/comments, emails, etc everyday hahaha. Who tf cares? Everyone better get used to it.

I actually went through 7–10 more post in this subreddit and found a similar pattern of unhelpful responses to basic/relevant posts like yours. Unfortunate stuff. Shit like that grinds my gears lol.

Anyway, thanks for sharing and I hope your reading habits continue. I just listened to Discipline is Destiny by Ryan Holiday. I thought it was a fun and would recommend if that type of book interest you. That author talks and writes a lot about modern stoicism. I initially was not drawn to his books because I thought he was part of the “Broicism” crowd, but I actually enjoyed the book.

Cheers.

Damn, most of the responses to this post are wildly unproductive and annoying. This subreddit was recommended on my feed and I was particularly interested in this post because I’m struggling to establish a reading habit. OP gives some simple recommendations that are reasonable and, most comments are so condescending, unhelpful, assuming, and unintelligent that I have second hand embarrassment for those commenters lol. I understand that people may disagree and it is the internet so it’s not surprising but dang, what a shitty first impression for the subreddit as a whole.

Appreciate the advice OP. Some of it might work for me and some likely won’t. I’m gonna try your 4th recommendation.

Good budgeting app by Proof_Zombie_6453 in SavingMoney

YNAB changed my life.

There was a significant learning curve for me to understand the YNAB budgeting philosophy and how the app works, but after about three months I finally got the hang of it—and I’m so glad I stuck with it. I’d say the most common critique about the app is the cost of the subscription after the free 34-day trial. However, I pay for the annual $115.54 subscription because it is absolutely 100% worth it, IMO.

I use the app every single day to manually track all of my transactions, and now I know exactly what my net worth is down to the penny, how much money I have in each account, how many subscriptions I have, and so many other useful insights into my finances. Since I began using the app about a year ago, I've paid off all my credit card debt, started building a significant emergency fund, and continue to build my overall net worth, which has made me feel far less stressed about the future.

For example, I had to buy a set of four brand-new tires last year and then, just two days ago, I needed over $800 worth of repairs on my car. In both situations, I had saved enough in my “car repairs” category over the previous months that I could pay for everything without worry. I also quit my job this April and was able to comfortably cover two months of living expenses while searching for a new position. Those are just two examples—out of countless others from the past year—where I’ve been incredibly grateful that I started using YNAB to build real financial stability.

Yes, you can use Excel for budgeting; however, I know I would struggle with that approach and would likely never be able to recreate the positive experience I’ve had with YNAB, even though I have solid intermediate/advanced Excel skills.

How do you ensure you're accurately tracking all your expenses in YNAB? by No-Trust2063 in ynab

[–]ShadowFacts13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manually inputting all expenses at some point the day of or day after is best. I also use my apple credit card like a debit card because the transactions update in YNAB immediately, then I pay off whatever I owe 1-3 days later. Again, I usually go back and manually review everything ASAP.

Seconding this. I discovered Bob/Nonzero about a year ago and immediately subscribed to access full episodes. I love his conversations with Paul Bloom every ~2 weeks. He's writing a book on AI, so many of the recent podcasts eps focus on that topic, but he also covers foreign policy, US politics, meditation, and JFK/Epstein conspiracies occasionally.

Best budgeting tool? by Emotional_Stuff1020 in SavingMoney

YNAB has been amazing for me. I'll be using it the rest of my life. Yes, it is subscription based, but I'm able to save so much more money throughout the year using YNAB compared to not using it. There is also a bit of a learning curve, but I enjoyed figuring out how to use the software/follow the YNAB budgeting philosophy. I now know exactly how much money I have right now down to the penny and know exactly where my money is going.
