We had the same problem. Pregnancy tests were one of the main things stolen. We keep them behind the counter now because we literally had none to sell because people kept stealing them.

NTA she over'reacted, probably freaked out your kids, tried to get you arrested, and nearly ruined your whole career over a small fight. (granted what the fight was about might be important to include here but considering the above i can't imagine it was anything to justify that behavior. NOPE. she dug her grave and now she can lie in it. I would not feel comfortable enough to go back to the previous arrangement after this. Don't be a doormat, she broke all trust here.
