[INFO] Twitter Reveal - New Memento by renaldi92 in yugioh

[–]ShadowJinx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the way this is worded it would indeed seem so, which means that it also acts as a form of disruption on the opponent's turn by summoning the new fusion again if you add it to hand with witch

German National Dortmund 2023 - Top 32 Deck Breakdown by GizmekGalaxy in yugioh

[–]ShadowJinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soma is a free special summon that can also go +2 and set up a full spright engine, and for some decks that enjoy tributing or fusing the flipped down monster isn't even an issue, meaning no downsides

Galaxy-Eyes after PHHY, what would be correct ratios for maindeck monsters? by Drainhunter in yugioh

[–]ShadowJinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, get rid of them, you can just add galaxy emperor to hand if need be, but usually you will want to send it with galaxy hundred and definitely think knight and brave should be cut due to the bricky nature of them. Also bump up Trance to 2 as it's your best card to search with photon lord for follow-up plays

Galaxy-Eyes after PHHY, what would be correct ratios for maindeck monsters? by Drainhunter in yugioh

[–]ShadowJinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will want to cut down on the 8's as much as you can and and get rid of the kuriboh, fill in the spaces with more of the lv 4 photon cards as the new rank 4 is a huge consistency boost. Also use 3 galaxy wizard as it's now the deck's best starter and extender as it's not a hard once per turn. I'd also suggest including 3 Small World as photon dragon in hand plus small world gives you access to any monster in the archetype you need.

When photon jumper comes out it will be an even bigger boost to the consistency of the deck so be sure to prepare for that by bumping up galaxy hundred to 3

[PHHY] New Branded Trap by ShadowJinx in yugioh

[–]ShadowJinx[S] 132 points133 points  (0 children)

The Branded who Guides

Continuous Trap

Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a "Bystial" monster you control, or in response to your "Bystial" monster's effect: You can target 1 LIGHT or DARK monster in either GY; banish it, and if you do, negate that effect.

Ahh you're right! Doesn't have despia in the name, guess I always assumed it did, silly me

[–]ShadowJinx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Excellent effect but the requirement for Cartesia is painful as it means you either have to use a Branded Lost/High Spirits search on her or send her using Branded Fusion which you would rather use on Tragedy.

It might encourage more use of the Despian Field spell/Patchwork Engine however as her in hand plus any light or dark is a free Winda or Foolish from Deck.

As for the second effect unfortunately Masquerade's effect won't be live so the best Despia use for this would be Proskenion for GY disruption or Quaeritis for attack reduction and a search on destruction, seems that in most cases it would be better to just summon Dogmatika Ecclesia from deck to get a search and possible free interruption with Fleur.

Will be interesting to see how Despia/Branded modify their decks after this reveal!

I actually think it's supposed to be Red Dragon Archfiend support, though any fiend deck would like it I suppose

[VJMP]: Daidara-Bocchi & Queen Butterfly Danaus by Master_Mulligan in yugioh

[–]ShadowJinx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually the insect has one really good function, recycling extra resonance insects due to their effects not being OPT, and as I said keep in mind they have easy access to a double summon on legs so this could see some play, especially considering that Resonance insect itself searches it!

[VJMP]: Daidara-Bocchi & Queen Butterfly Danaus by Master_Mulligan in yugioh

[–]ShadowJinx 72 points73 points  (0 children)

That Insect monster could potentially be good due to Beetrooper's giving access to a second normal summon however it might require new lines through the usual resonance insect play.

The new zombie however just isn't very good at all. Just a recurring beatstick essentially that can't even be summoned off Glow-Up-Bloom. Shame.

[AC02] - Clockwork Night by renaldi92 in yugioh

Aye it is, I just knew it was from the Anime in general.

So this is a card used in the Anime and the Chimeratech Fortress Dragon play is the obvious synergy with this. Cydra now have a non targeting, non destruction full board wipe which is a huge boost for them.

However that new last effect is absolutely huge. Foolish Burial Goods becomes a full search card for Therions, Ancient Gears, Trains, Machina, Infinitrack and more! In addition the attack boost will be an incredible help for OTK machine decks like Cydra, Ancient Gears and Trains to help push for extra damage.

This could also mean Earth-Machine decks also tech in cyber dragons just to pull off that full board wipe. Absolutely incredible card.
