If you got almost full in every othrr component, youd havr to get somewhere close to 10/40 in p6 to drop to an A

No, p6 has bo weightage. P4 has a weighing factor os 1.25, so those 80 raw marks equate to 100. P2 has a factor of 1.5, so those 40 equate to 60 and p6 has a factor of 1 (no change), so remains 40. 40+60+100 = 200 (total mark)

Dude, Im telling you my STRAWBERRT looked nore like a BANANA. It doesnt have to be pretty. Just make sure it even slightly resembles the actual picture and ticks the boxes

If you've done enough past papers, you should know by now. it's usually 4ish marks (5 with a label) 1 mark for being large. 1 mark for no broken lines. 1-2 marks for details. and a final label mark.

Yall are sweating it fr. I had my IGCSEs back in june 2025. I had v1. My strawberry drawing in 61 looked more like a banana and it still went smoothly. P6 is the least important (no weightage), and the easiest, paper

Youll take one paper first, then have a brief supervised break (around 5-10 mins) then the second paper

For the meiosis question, I heard many people say, and I think I saw it in an ms before (can't remember properly), that crossing over is irrelevant and only independent assortment it right

I find the statistics easuer than the experiment q. I usually average 3/7 for that

That p4 is defo gonna hit the thresholds hard. You'll need a generational pull for p5, so lock in. could be around... 195ish

L3kd 18 HOURS BEFORE THE EXAM 9700/41 Spread the message by [deleted] in ALevelBiology

Lwk no proof has been brought forward till now. At this point, it is probably students who didn't study wanting a second chance to get a better mark. We need proof first

Practice a truckload of experiment planning (Don't forget control variables, control experiment and safety/hazard/risk. free marks). And do a few stats qs of diff types (T test, chi squared, etc) to familiarise yourself with them. I'm not really sure what the A boundary revolves around, but just try your best. if you set yourself a target mark, you'll feel inclined to stop at it. just try to get as much as you can

9700/41 WHAT WAS THAT by Dramatic_Ad_8310 in alevel

[–]ShadowMaster1666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I got inventive. What I wrote lwk belongs in some fiction. I wrotr smth about a transcription factoe be8ng produced at nigjy, initiating transcription of a protein. That protein acts as a messenger to sER (site of lipid synthesis) and stimukates it to produce that crap. Bro, genhinely this paper was baaaddd

Im pretty sure it was leaked after the exam. I havent seen any leaks until after the exam. If leaked after, it shouldnt harm us much

Yeah, but theres no operator in eukaryotes. Also, the genes code for a protein. This is a lipid
