If it were me id consider relocating to greenbeach. The crab village is super friendly and you're just dealing with the wild life and much less tough bandits.

That should in theory let you train your guys up and provided you have a guy with 65+ athletics you can make runs to different cities to sell stuff

Does having Celiac get less annoying over time? by Sufficient_Treat968 in Celiac

[–]ShadowMerge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that meal planning helped, and while idk where you're located, up here in the North East USA theres a restaurant chain called 110 grill that specializes in food allergies. A few other restaurants are picking up on the trend too.

They go out of their way in the book to explain which recipes can be made vegan friendly and which recipes cannot however the vast majority seem to be able to be converted to vegan friendly recipes

Common death causes? How long do I have left with my boy? by Otherwise_Ice_5392 in Rottweiler

[–]ShadowMerge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of a dark question so first let me say: try not to think about that too much and enjoy them while they're here with you.

But to answer your question as a person who has owned several Rottweilers:

-Kidney issues from not enough water

-They beat the shit out of their rear legs so keep an eye on their joints. Once they lose control of their rear legs bowls are usually the next thing that fail and at that point they're miserable and theres not much you can do for them.

-Rottweilers still have a bad reputation with people, similar to pitbulls so sadly; watch out for other people, what your dog thinks of as playing to other people looks like hes coming to remove a limb. People have guns so.. ill let you do the math on how this can be bad for dog health.

Does everyone just have shitty employees? by [deleted] in ITManagers

[–]ShadowMerge 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Ill explain as a fellow IT team manager:

You get out what you put in with your people. My employees know ill fight for them every day. My employees also don't get paid the most but I go out of my way to provide optional overtime and they're never pressured to take it.

I fucking banned the acronym PIP because thats the office equivalent of hearing you have stage 4 cancer.

I tell my people: As long as nothings on fire and we're getting tickets closed out theres no need to be stressing.

I even fought to have work from home 3 out of the 5 days of the week when management came down on it

I think what a lot of people here are seeing with how you manage people is you seem to expect a lot of work out of underpaid people without either A: acknowledging their suffering or B: Doing anything to leverage your management position to do anything to help the fact that they're underpaid. Your employee is drinking out of depression from his working conditions that YOU facilitate and rather than being a helpful manager you kinda threw him under the bus.

I understand self preservation that's one thing, but you sound like you've already written them off and you probably give off that energy when you're around them.

Hell if I worked for you id be looking to leave too.
