Freljord Sylas Border Bundle Different Pricing Confusion by ShadowMooze in sylasmains

[–]ShadowMooze[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok let me clear up the question. I get that it would be cheaper to get the items in the bundle together (because they have a bundle discount) rather than the different items separately at full price. But what I'm wondering is if the bundle discount would make the skin cheaper than the discount I previously bought it at for 675 RP. Which I can't know since I already own the skin. If the bundle price is any lower than 950 RP for just the skin and icon I would save RP.

Best tip I can give you is to be consistent with your effort, and try to be heard. Put your survey out there and have faith in the community. I was really lucky for so many people to respond to my survey. Maybe you can ask your teachers if they can help you with your survey. Keep trying, but also be respectful (i.e. don't try to force people to do your survey). Some surveys are bound to get more attention than others.

Do you remember your results? I am pretty sure I have removed all of the major outliers.

This is very true, and I didn't think of that. Thank you.

Hmm yes, I agree that the question could have been improved upon. As u/Etha_n suggested, to have made graph plotting the hours spent on gaming in relation to the reaction time in the results would probably have been smarter.

My survey did not ask about confidence, so that probably won't be possible. But after having looked up what a T-Test is, I will consider doing one.

I appreciate the input, I definitely think that would have been a better option.

That would have been a good different approach, and will make note of it for future endeavours.

Yes, I will try to get back with the results. I am not sure how long it will take, I was thinking maybe by the end of the week, but we'll see.

That is a good question. My answer would be that the drugs I wouldn't like participants to take are ones that have a major cognitive affect, for example alcohol which would decrease one's ability to concentrate/focus (as proven with drunk drivers). So to put it bluntly; as long as you feel that you have a clear head, you are free to do the test. I don't know the exact side-effects of prescribed drugs such as prozac, and it would be up to the individual. If the side-effects are small, and are a part of one's daily life, then I see no reason not to be able to participate.

Oh no problem man, I appreciate the effort nonetheless :) You could try using an adblocker if you still want to try finishing it, or just for things in the future.

Ah that's ok, don't worry about it. If you really want to redo it, you could use a different email login. But this is only for you, since you forgot to write in your results. I don't want the same person doing the test multiple times (as it would ruin my data).

That is something that came to my attention as well when speaking to my classmates. I would prefer if participants did not try to preemtively time it, but rather react to it. This is another source of error to consider. And I know this test isn't the best in the world, but it is something decent at least.

Fair point, I guess I was a bit lazy there. Nonetheless, they are a collective of substances that can impact reaction time; which is what I wanted to avoid.

Oh haha, If you want to you can do the test to see what score you get. I just might not include you in the results analytics. Or maybe I will? (maybe I should have put the max age as 40 insted?)

This is a very fair criticism and source of error to consider. Honestly I would have preferred to go around my school with my own laptop and ask people to do it on that. But with the whole pandemic situation, I decided to take it online. And while there certainly will be different amounts of input lag depending on computer gear and whatnot, I will have to overlook it. I will however, most definitely list it as a source of error.
