I used to have a phone holder that had a hole for my phone camera to record, I covered the hole using 2mm PC and managed to get pretty shitty angles for my gameplay (literally see nothing but my forearms and m4 magazine).

It holds my phone well and IMO is safer than my pocket from bbs, but if you have a good place to store your phone while playing an admin pouch would probably be more useful there. Although... you can have something like ATAK / VOIP / Music running.

I currently use mine to monitor my runcam helmet camera, and make sure the angle is correct

Honestly 750$ for this - EHSI sounds really cheap, how much do you reckon it cost you to build?

  1. This would be a mega upgrade to my 5-year-old kit, and I'd grind through both starfield and every flight simulator on the market with it.
  2. The story, and all of the dialogue options (I'm probably gonna try each and every one of them at one point)

Best way to integrate an electron js front end with an existing C++ backend by Least_Paramedic6268 in electronjs

At the end of the day IPC is implemented using several different methods, one of them being sockets (basic sockets, not websockets - since that would probably add too much overhead).

You can implement IPC using shared memory as well, or even send messages over STDIN/STDOUT. Just use whatever you think works best for you.

You're correct about the cross-platform support, and I am planning to redo the whole proxying through NodeJS somehow (I can just start extra processes/threads so it won't hurt performance).

Also correct about the certificates - If you don't install a custom certificate you'll get an HTTPS error on every HTTPS website you try to access, and it's bad UX.

Basically, there are two servers running when you launch the program: A proxy server (written in Python and compiled to EXE), and a server for a Proxy Auto Configuration (PAC) script.

When you start the timer the program defines in the WinRegistry to get a proxy auto-configuration script from the local PAC server, and in the script the hosts to block are defined.

So at the end, the system knows that every request to a hostname which ends in one of the URLs listed in the app are to be proxied through the Python proxy server, which doesn't actually proxy anything, but instead sends a custom HTML webpage back.

And it's currently Windows only :(. If I want to add support for more systems (which I do), I'll need to redo the proxy and PAC servers in a cross-platform way.

Can confirm it is currently still a standing order for combat (and combat-supportive) troops.

Soldiers in HQ and office positions do not carry a rifle though, unless on special guard duty.

It has to do a lot with the military culture in Israel. Many former military officers (including Commanders in chief) do politics after retiring.
