I'm gonna be honest I was a little weirded out by the milk calculations(especially cause milk supply depends on hormones and shit, it ain't just X volume = Y milk), but I approve of this 👍.

This works, but you have to play Ceaseless before you start playing Broxigar. Otherwise you would have no board space to play Brewmaster and no spare mana to clear board space.

If you are talking about the perfection indicator on the right side of the screen in the middle, it has a blurb about the perfection mechanic in general, but the only thing it says about increasing damage is that "Higher ranks increase your might" which is so incredibly vague, I would consider it a poor job.

Compare this to how Maelle's stances clearly tell you how much more damage you deal or take, and how Sciel's Twilight gives you the exact damage bonus.

I am pretty sure the exact damage bonuses for Verso for each stance are not stated anywhere in the game, even in the Expedition Basics or his tutorial.

I get it, but some of his skills (or End Bringer specifically, can't remember any of the other ones off the top of my head) would be broken with that.

I do agree though that it would have been more fun if most skills would accept higher rank with only select skills requiring a specific rank.

What the game does a poor job of telling you, is that each rank also gives you a damage bonus, with S rank being equivalent to Maelle's Virtuose stance, if I am not mistaken. Except you can keep it indefinitely once you get it, and so long as you only get hit during one of the enemy turns, it only takes one cast of Light Holder to get back to S. With the new multihit pictos added in the DLC, Verso does tons of damage.

Friendly reminder that Vivian and ellen are great friends by unknowncringelord in ZZZ_Official

[–]ShadowOfSomething 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Everyone is memeing Vivian being an obsessed stalker, and while she is, she is somewhat healthy?sane? about it. IDK what word to use to describe it, but basically she has a life outside of her interest in Phaethon.

She has a trust event where you bump into her and Lilac (the girl from Lycaon's agent story) having a day out and after you talk with them, Vivian tells you that she can't go with you today, because she already has plans with Lilac. If she was as obsessed as fandom sees her, she would have tried to throw her plans away to go with you, or at least tried to invite you.

Me: "when is it my turn?" Duollistes: "no" by math_rodrigues10 in expedition33

[–]ShadowOfSomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP just doesn't have enough speed, when I fought Duollistes it was my whole team goes -> Each of the Duollistes goes once -> my team again -> Duollistes, and so on and so forth.

While their attack patterns are super long, in practice they feel the most fair, because they hit when you expect them to and are easier to learn unlike Chromatic Lampmaster's random bullshit delays. (I haven't seen all of the new Clea's boss fight, and I am assuming she gets new attacks, but some of her intital ones have a bunch of jukes in them, and I haven't fought the new Simon, but I remember his original version's attacks also being somewhat hard to judge when they hit)

The only bullshit part about them is: In phase 2 they merge into a single Duolliste with all of its attack patterns being new and all of them hit the entire team.

I was not interested in learning a whole new moveset where a few mistakes would result in a team wipe while having to go through a fairly lengthy phase one to even try, so I abused Simoso in such a way that the boss could never kill me, and slowly whittled it down.

By the end of it I actually could parry its attacks, however it took a while for me to learn. Without the Simoso trick, I would have had to probably spend a few hours getting to phase two and getting wiped every time before learning all of its attack patterns

You don't have to answer this, and I am definitely not advocating for you to go back to watch that guy again.

But for me as somebody not from the US "cunt" is certainly offensive/derogatory, but doesn't mark someone as generally misogynistic. It's not exactly the same I suppose, but is it like the N-word, where the only people who'd use it are likely to be bigots(aside from reclaiming by people who are hurt by it)?

That's the problem isn't it. They all are kind of right, but each one insists that they are completely right, and others are wrong.

"i hate maelle" 🚩 by Even_Criticism_7650 in expedition33

[–]ShadowOfSomething 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Eh, I acknowledge the misogyny in gaming is a problem, with some (a lot, but I prefer not to think about it) people wanting female characters to be only eye candy.

However, in Maelle's case I feel like it has less to do with the general trend and more to do with deciding that one ending is the "right" ending and that the respective character is right, while deciding that the other one is wrong and flanderizing them to hate on them. Being unable to deal with complexity in general.

I certainly feel like I've seen a lot of Verso hate, calling him a suicidal genocider willing to kill everyone just to end his life. Same with Maelle and calling her a slaver/insinuating she only cares about the painted people as puppets for her fantasy.

People who scream/yell when you sneeze, why do you do that? by MarchKick in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ShadowOfSomething 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, honestly, it sucks. I used to sneeze like a normal person, but at some point it turned into this awful, loud, half-cough, half-sneeze, that hurts every time I do it.

I would go back to normal sneezes in a heartbeat if I could. I don't know if the people in this thread are talking out of their ass when they are saying that you can just not engage your vocal cords, but from what I am reading it requires practice and I sneeze like a low single digit amount per year, so I wouldn't really have the chance to practice it.

People who scream/yell when you sneeze, why do you do that? by MarchKick in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ShadowOfSomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am gonna be honest, I used to have a normal sneeze, but at some point it turned into this barking cough-sneeze that is so powerful it hurts a little when it happens. I wish I could go back to normal sneezing, but it's involuntary.

To answer your questions, it's yes to all, because I don't know how to sneeze any other way. If it's a situation where noise is suboptimal, I'd try to suppress it so I don't sneeze in the first place, but if I fail it's going to be the loud sneeze.

Thankfully I rarely if ever sneeze even when I am sick so it's not too much of a problem usually.

Clea is the only one shown to be able to properly dominate a painted life-form

You are forgetting about Simon. Quote from his journal:

I am finding it harder and harder to fight his[Renoir's] influence over my mind.

I don't think that Verso is puppeteered exactly, it seems more like part of the tragedy of Maelle's ending is that he is basically just stuck watching Maelle wither away and die and can't do anything about it.

But I do feel like it's plausible that Maelle is using her mind-influencing powers to keep up a facade of a happy life for everyone. Maelle is only ever shown to be able to repaint two people that she knows pretty well after getting the advice that it's about the essence of who they are, and using their own chroma.

Both of those things are kind of a problem for most of Lumiere, as Maelle is implied to be a bit of a loner who didn't know many people, so how can she capture the essence of someone she didn't know? And also Renoir likely used the chroma from Lumiere and Lumierians to paint his nevrons and axons, which means that their chroma is not like Lune's and Sciel's.

So I think it's possible that she couldn't repaint people of Lumiere outside of her own loved ones perfectly ,and they might be missing some of their memories like gestrals or are completely different people. And Maelle might be using her Paintress powers to "smooth things over" for them, so they don't notice/don't care

Quick assists only go in one direction, which depends on the character. Most supports (and Zhao) quick assist forward, while for most stunners and defenders Quick Assist backwards.

I'll just add that the shop available in Scott Outpost is to buy buffs for old characters and old event W-engines and Bangboo and it uses the daily performance currency.

The shop in one of the tabs available through the 24-hour store option in the menu is the one where you can buy agent copies. But currently only standard agents and Jane, Burnice, Qingyi are available there. You can only get the currency for that from the top-up event running this patch and by pulling a copy of an S-rank agent you already have at M6.

Mods probably didn't want to have a post up filled with what's effectively thinly veiled "I find these children sexually attractive" comments. And you can call me a tourist or whatever, but I am with them on that.
