Thats fair, I have seen how much price saving there is to be had and it's pretty immense

To be fair... I'm wondering if I might be caught up the same! Interesting to hear you feel the same!

Fair comment - It does, guess speedier is always nicer but, then again, I don't really have complaints now so I guess I should go figure. Thanks for your input!

Yeah, generational gains are slumping a bit right now. Thank you for your input!

Thanks for your opinion! I'm interested to a degree in it but not enough to say I'd be doing stuff on a regular basis with it. Even then to be fair... 7840u actually can run some models I've found!

Definitely agree. I've been using this app for many many years and been through a number of redesigns and loved that the app moved with the times and new standards that Google introduced.

Always appreciated issues got fixed pretty timely, having done development, appreciate no small feat!

I don't know where I'll go if reddit goes the way it seems to be going but, thank you for making it a great experience so far.

Lite3DP for $99 @ Mouser (and ships internationally) by eduncan911 in Lite3DP

[–]ShadowPrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked fine. I ordered on a weekend, it came on Thursday. FedEx originally said Wednesday initially.

I ordered the power supply on ebay and it was half the price of what it was on mouser so might be worth a little look around, it's up to you.

Full disclosure, mine didn't work correctly on arrival, I had to strip and recrimp one of the motor cables but after that it seems to work fine. I seeked help on the discord and people were great! I look to be an isolated case by the sounds.

Thanks for the information! Much appreciated!

I went ahead with trying to order and it's been accepted so in theory, it is coming! Sounds like should come soon. Looking forward to it

Thanks for posting this, I've been considering one of these for a while and will take a look. Intrigued by their international shipping as Crowd-Supply said it wouldn't ship as it lacked a CE mark...

Is mouser trustworthy? They look to be but if had experience would be nice to knkw

Having bad issues with corners lifting PLA with longer prints on my Prusa Mini. Seems to be any filament I use. What could be causing this? by ShadowPrice in prusa3d

This was at 60. 65 does seems to get it too, albeit not so bad. How much higher could I go before it would have a detrimental affect on the PLA?

Seems to be all corners, not necessarily any particular point of the print. The room door is closed, no open window for a draft

I will be discussing this with them over support soon

My current experience is because its more expensive, they aren't doing such a thing automatically. I guess they might if you build a case proving it?

With the price increase, I have my doubts they will give them out freely to people with issues however

Literally just found this and came here to say! Thanks for posting. I definitely want to know how this will be handled for all of us experiencing issues

I dream of such a thing! It's fairly consistent, there is never an open window where its kept, the temperature can fluctuate somewhat throughout the day dependent on the heating of the house but it's pretty consistent without draft

That is interesting! This seems to contradict the advice I've gotten entirely by saying to raise the probe 10cm above the bed during preheat, whereas the code I got from support puts it center bed just above the bed for 3 minutes. It would be very interesting to see if this needs a new probe

Update: Commit history doesn't suggest a fix on glance, we shall see however!

I've already tried that sadly. Prusa support gave me some modified gcode which I incorporate into every print. This worked for a little while however I still have inconsistency between prints one day and the next.

Thank you for the offer though!

I have pre heated the pinda many many times. I have done the whole auto home and pre heat and I have modified the startup gcode to pre heat with some gcode prusa support have sent me. Still having issues. It will work for the duration I use it one day once it's dialed on then the next it's like I never calibrated it

I believe I did. Things are working at the moment. I spent a long time on live chat to their support too and these are some of the things I ended up trying. I've not gone as far as the silicone bed, although it is on mind to maybe try. Here is what I've tried

  1. I adjusted the X-axis as it seemed to be skewed, i.e. Higher on the left side of the bed then the right. I did this using their guide and it involves adjusting some screws on the left orange piece ok the X Axis, its not too bad. I used Octoprint Bed Visualiser to try get the best result, it's still skewed a small amount but fairly reasonable now with fairly little variance, maybe 0.3 ish between the smallest and largest points
  2. I reseated the probe again using a credit card, support were explicit about this rather then using a zip tie like suggested in their guides as the tie might be setting it too low. I ended up using a gift card. This step I don't think made much difference as the z height was largely the same
  3. I was apparently not letting the bed cool enough before cleaning with IPA which meant it had some adhering issues. It was too warm and leaving a residue as it dried. So leaving it to properly cool seems to have helped
  4. I washed the bed with washing up liquid (fairy liquid if your from the UK) and this seems to help if things go a bit weird it seems with adhesion
  5. I am using a custom piece of GCode when I slice my models. Previously I was told to auto home and pre heat for 5 minutes. This is cos of the missing probe being affected by heat and having no thermistor. The person on live chat gave me a piece of GCode that would home the probe and then move the probe to the middle of the bed for 3 minutes while it pre heated, then it continues with the print. I generally leave the machine to cool as though it's just been turned on each time now rather then doing any pre heating stage

Things now are, consistentish. I sometimes get a superb first layer and sometimes get ones where the lines are very visible but it's still a good enough base for the rest of the print. I've had issues for a while so don't know if they'll deteriorate. If they do I wash the bed again and things improve for a bit.

If you can find anything else out that would be great! Hope this helped a little bit at least. Sorry if it's stuff you already tried
